"Nene! Are you ready yet! You said you were almost done 2 hours ago!" Jobe said. "Yeah Nene! It's already 5! We're gonna get there at 10 with all the stops with me!" Ava said. "Oh I finished getting ready like an hour ago? I was on tiktok." "I thought you guys were still packing or something." Nene said. "Go put my bag in the car Jobe." Nene had a giant, heavy bag that had clothes and gear packed for a 2 week vacation when they were only staying in Austin for 3 days. "Nene, we're only staying for 3 days. You don't need that much stuff." Jobe said. Well I'm taking everything that's in this bag, and if you have a problem with it I really could care less. Nene said. CAN WE JUST GO. Evan said. They got into the car and started driving. So what should we get to eat? Ella said. Wing stop®, Chick -fil-a®, you know... everything. Ava said. Okay
A few hours later they got to the hotel. Finally we're here. Nene said. "YOU ARE LITERALLY THE REASON WE TOOK SO LONG." Jobe said. "Its fine! We're here and thats all that matters." Ava said trying to stop a future argument. But with Nene and Jobe, you never really know. They can block each other over something stupid like over a game, but they would always make up the day after the "bad" argument. They never had gotten along until they were about 11, but had known each other for their whole lives. They went to go check into their room and get their keycard for the hotel room. "We booked a hotel room" Ella said. "It should be under Ella." The Receptionist was smiling at Ella, his eyes wide and his mouth just as wide, it looked like his lips were about to tear. He looked at the monitor and reached into the cabinet under it and gave them their key. Ella looked at him weird, and they all ran off and went into their hotel room. "That guy was really weird, right. Why was he just smiling?" Ella said. "I don't know but this is a nice hotel..." Ava said. "I think this road trip is gonna be great." Ava said. They walked into the room. "Purr." Nene said. "What?" "Miss judge toler." She said again. "Is your whole personality just derived from TikTok?" Evan said. "Shut up." Nene said. Evan exhaled in annoyance. Ella why did you pick a room on the first floor? Jobe said. "Actually I was gonna rent the penthouse suite but every other room was booked. I was surprised because everything with Covid thats been happening, its still really bad so I don't know." "Let's just watch scream, I've been wanting to watch it again its just that it reminds me of... you know." Jobe said. They were all silent for a moment. "Let's not talk about that. Let's watch Stranger Things." Ava said. "Yeah." Jobe said. It was the next day at about five o'clock and they were on season 2 episode 1, they heard a scream that came from the first floor." "What was that?" "I don't know Ava? It was a crow?" Ella said sarcastically. "Someone needs help! It sounds like it's coming from the first floor. You have all of our pepper sprays in your purse right Ava?" Ella said again. They went down to the lobby and followed the screams to the hotel's basement. They opened the door and it was empty. "There's nothing but a bookshelf in here." Evan said. "There's a book that says pull the purple book." Ella said. "Here!" She pulled the book and the bookshelf moved open, revealing a doorway that led to a staircase underground. "Guys I don't have a good feeling about this." Ava said. "We need to save whoever's down here." Jobe said. They walked down into a giant room. There were lots of steps. "What is this?" "I think we need to go back to our hotel room guys." Ava said. "No, we need to help whoever screamed!" Evan said. The room was about 70 feet long, 70 feet wide and 70 feet high. It had four giant pillars that formed a square. And a door to another room that looked about 100 years old, but was kept in surprisingly nice condition for something thousands of years old. And yes, this place is thousands of years old. Remember... They knew that this trip was not going to end well. This wasn't the first time something with good intentions ended in tragedy. "Wait! Everybody shut up! Someone's coming!" Nene said. They all hid behind one of the pillars to the left of the room that was closest to the mysterious door. "HE" walked in. He looked horrifying. He had pale grayish skin with sharp teeth and his mouth looked like it had been cut open but there was no blood, he had a golden crown with a red and black jewel in the middle. He had a black suit that was radiating black smoke with a leather belt across his torso with a symbol on it. And he had spikes on his shoulder pads he was wearing, he also had a scar on his left eye. HE came out of the door with two other men that had decayed half of their face with a black suit on. "You need to find him! It said that they would be here at this very moment!" HE said. "I have to sneeze!" Nene said. "DON'T!" Jobe said. She sneezed and HE looked up with a crack from his neck. And looked down at the pillar they were hiding behind as it broke and then collapsed. The whole underground room started to collapse. "I've got you!" One of HIS servants that he called his lackeys of corruption took Evan. They went inside of the mysterious other room while no one was looking and HE lost them. "We need to get Evan back." Ava says. "Ugh, I'm tired though, there were like 1000 flights of stairs we had to walk down." Nene said. "No, I said we should go back up to our hotel room but you guys wanted to be all bold and now my brother was taken by some dead looking people." "Y'all are all gonna help me save him. He's my brother." Ava said. "Okay." They all said. They followed him to a dungeon and could feel the whole place shaking from that one pillar that HE broke. They knew that if they didn't get out soon they would probably die or get crushed by thousands of tons of cement and clay. They needed to work fast. "Get your ugly hands off of my brother!" Ava screamed as she sprayed the lackey that had Evan in the eye. He screamed and let go of Evan and they took off running towards the stairs, knowing that the whole building would soon fall to pieces. Right as they were about to get to the stairs rubble fell blocking them. They were all stuck down there. HIM and his lackeys slowly approached them as HE said, "You have no idea what you have started." He looked at their feet and they all fell into a mysterious portal that led to a place stuck in time, HE had trapped them in his museum. Ancient Greece.
