(Bonus) Greek 'Myths'

Sirens- The siren was a regular girl. When it was just one thing. A girl named Sierra who lived in Olympus was singing a song she had just made up. Her voice was beautiful, unlike anyone else's. The Muses were jealous of her. They were the Goddesses of music. They were jealous because her voice was better than all of theirs. They asked Echidna, the Goddess of Monsters, if she could corrupt Sierra and make her a monster. So that she would be ugly and no men would like her. They were gonna make her pay. So Echidna agreed and went up to Sierra in her room in the middle of the night. She opened her box and used her power to corrupt sierra. She screamed and transformed into a ugly girl mixed with a fish. Sierra, now being a siren, broke through her window and fell onto earth, angry because of what had happened to her. Men would insult her whenever they saw her so she decided she would try her best to kill every man she sees. She would lure in sailors who passed over her with her voice and kill them. She got pregnant by Poseidon and gave birth to more sirens, she taught them to do what she had been doing all this time. Eventually the species grew and populated almost every part of the sea. So if you ever go on a ship, beware of the Sirens.

Medusa- Medusa was a beautiful maiden named Ophisa who lived in Olympus. She met with Poseidon because he said he would give her powers and that he could make her a half mortal half goddess. He crossed his fingers and shook her hand. Little did she know, when they shook hands he got her pregnant. Ophisa was very close to Poseidon's wife Amphitrite. She held the baby and felt a piece of her inside of the baby. She put the pieces together and she realized that she was pregnant with Poseidon's baby. She was angry, and told Echidna to turn Ophis and her sisters into a monster. Echidna walked into Ophis' room in the middle of the night to turn her into a monster, and she did the same with her sisters. Warriors wanted the snakes on her head, they had special powers. But they would try to kill Medusa to get the snakes on her head. She was the most powerful of all her sisters. She now killed every hunter or warrior she saw.

The Griffin- The griffin was made when Zeus combined a lion and an eagle and made it guard his mountain of Olympus, Echidna corrupted it and it became evil.

Thanata- Thanata is the daughter of Nyx, Goddess of Night, and Poseidon. She was born with the task of being Goddess of the Underworld and death with her brother Hades being the God of the underworld and death.

Cerberus- Nyx asked Echidna to make. A monster for Hades for his 10,000th birthday. She corrupted a street dog and the dog and Hades were inseparable since.

Hades- Son of Nyx, and Poseidon. Was given the task of Being the God of the Underworld and death.

Sphinx- The Sphinx was a woman who angered Zeus so he punished her by turning her into an abomination. The mix of a woman, an eagle, and a lion. Zeus kept her alive forever, which she hated because she hated her body. She was merciless and killed anyone that couldn't solve her riddle because if someone solved the riddle, that was the only way she could be set free and die. So if you ever see the Sphinx walk the other way so she can't give you the riddle.

Amphitrite- Amphitrite is the Goddess of the sea and is Poseidon's wife.
