You were too sick to have your heart flutter around as you discovered Ayato was at the door.

"Why are you here...?" you muttered.

Ayato suddenly got down on his hands and knees, "I'm so sorry Y/n."

"For what?" You felt too awful to wonder why he was apologizing.

"The cookies I made...I used spoiled milk." He admitted as he stood back up, "I should've checked the expiration date before using it."

You gave off a weak smile, "I'm fine don't worry about it."

Ayato didn't look convinced, so he stepped closer to you and placed his hands on your shoulders, "you're not fine. The least I can do is take care of you..."

You wanted to argue that you were fine, but you really didn't have the strength so you admitted defeat already. You allowed him into your apartment.

You sat down on your couch in the living room while Ayato prepared some warm tea for you.

Your apartment was very small compared to the Kamisato's place. In total it was only 3 rooms. The living room and kitchen were one room with only a small wall blocking a little bit indicating the separate spaces, a bathroom, and my bedroom.

That's right... your bedroom was filled with posters of Ayato. No matter what happens you need to keep him out of your room.

"How did you know where I live?" You asked.

Ayato left the kitchen and walked over to you so he didn't need to raise his voice as he spoke to you, "Ayaka gave me all that information."

Right, you forgot that Ayato had a sister.

"Okay--" Before you could say anything else you felt extremely nauseous.

You ran to the bathroom and puked. By the time you pulled your head back you noticed Ayato standing beside you. He held out his hand which you grabbed so you could stand back up.

You wobbled back to the living room while holding tightly onto Ayato's hand.

"Why don't you lie down on your bed for a bit? I'm sure that'll be far more comfortable than sitting on the couch. " He suggested.

"That's alright, the couch is fine." You answered awkwardly.

It was already a bad sign that Ayato suggested the bedroom. He's very worried about you and will probably keep on trying to ensure you have the best comfort possible. You didn't mind sitting on your rock-hard couch if it prevented Ayato from seeing your room, though.

"Are you sure? That couch doesn't seem that comfortable..." He went on.

He was trying to persuade you to go into your bedroom, as much as you wanted to listen to him and just sink into the soft mattress, you couldn't. It's for the sake of your friendship with the Kamisato siblings.

You shook your head in response, no way you'd give in that easily.

Ayato sighed and walked back to the kitchen to finish preparing the tea.

He came back holding a mug of hot tea...that actually smelled like tea.

"It's safe to drink, right?" You asked before Ayato handed you the mug.

He nodded, "I promise it's safe to drink."

You believed him, which might not be the best choice, but you really wanted to trust him. So you took the mug and sipped a small sip of the tea.

The tea tasted like tea, thankfully.

Until...

Your throat started burning...the tea was...spicy?!

You coughed a bit, "what did you put in this?!"

Ayato smiled a bit which had you slightly worried, "I put some ginger in the tea because I heard it helps with nausea."

You didn't realize that Ayato had that kind of knowledge. At the same time, you wouldn't be surprised if he looked it up right as he was making the tea. Either way, you were still surprised he actually made decent tasting tea. Well, except for the spicy taste at the end.

You ended up drinking the whole mug of tea and started to feel slightly better after that.

By that time, your eyes grew very heavy and the only thing you desired right now was sleep. You refused to let yourself fall asleep in Ayato's presence. Your time with him alone was extremely limited and you wanted to make the most of it.

You guys sat beside each other on the couch having a small conversation.

"What made you become a model?" You asked Ayato out of curiosity.

He thought about his answer for a moment, "hmm... it was a long time ago, so I don't really remember."

Your mouth fell open, "how do you not remember?!"

Ayato shrugged, "things have been so overwhelming so I've unfortunately forgotten a lot of stuff."

"I never knew being famous could take a toll on your memories." You said as a yawn escaped from your mouth.

Your eyes grew harder to keep open, but you still refused to let yourself fall asleep.

"You should get some rest, you look really tired." Ayato insisted once again.

You shook your head, "I'm fine."

Ayato looked at you unconvincingly.

"Seriously, I'm fine..." You say with another yawn.

"You're such a bad liar," he smiled.

You opened your mouth to protest, "hey--"

Suddenly, you got cut off by Ayato's hand reaching the back of your head. He gently pushed your head until it was lying comfortably on his shoulder.

"Please rest," he whispered, "I won't leave you, I promise."

despite feeling weak from being sick all evening, your heart felt like it was about to explode. His shoulder felt more comfortable than your pillow has ever felt.

After laying comfortably on Ayato's shoulder it was impossible to resist the urge to sleep. It was in a matter of minutes before you were fast asleep.

-no pov-

Ayato stroked Y/n's soft h/l h/c hair.

He had been petting her for the past 30 minutes without realizing it.

He gently moved her off the couch and carried her to her bedroom and placed her on the bed where she could sleep peacefully for the rest of the night.

"Sleep well, Y/n."

-back to your pov-

It was the next morning....

You sprang up from your bed feeling completely better, and maybe even with more energy than usual.

That is until you notice a familiar figure standing in front of you.

"I never knew you were such a big fan of me." Ayato smiled.
