After knocking on Yoimiya's door you stood there anxiously waiting for her to answer.
An entire minute swept by and she hadn't answered the door. Maybe she was at work? Or was she still at school? She could've gotten detention again.
You were about to turn around and leave, but right before you did the door opened up.
Yoimiya stood there slightly surprised, yet with a disappointed look on her face.
"Why are you here?" she asked.
She didn't seem particularly happy to see you like she usually is. It only tore you up more. What happened? Where did things go downhill for us?
"I was wondering if I could talk to you." You quietly asked.
"I don't want to hear about your boyfriend." She said.
Why?
Why is she acting like this?
"But--"
"You're the one who left me for your perfect friends. You don't actually think you can just show up at my door and act like everything is fine between us, right?" Yoimiya said, slightly raising her voice.
You froze. She seemed fine just the other day. Is this why she didn't respond to your text message the other night? Because she... hates you...? No way she doesn't actually hate you, right?
"Look, I have no idea what's going on, but can you please just..." you struggled to hold back your tears.
"Just what? I already told you I don't want to hear about your stupid boyfriend. He should've just stayed in your dreams... it was a lot better that way."
You thought Yoimiya enjoyed hanging out with the Kamisatos... something had to be going on. This wasn't like Yoimiya to lash out like that. What happened? Was this your fault?
"I'm sorry...did I do something to upset you the other day?" you asked, as you could no longer hold back your tears as they poured down your face.
Suddenly, behind Yoimiya in walks a familiar figure. It was Sara. Why on earth were they together? Sara bullied you at school...she was mean... and now she was with your best friend. What is happening?!
"Why is she here?" Sara said in a snarky tone.
Yoimiya turned to face her new friend, "I don't know, I didn't invite her to come over."
Sara glared at you with almost a surprised look. Almost as if she never expected me to interfere.
"Yoimiya...why..." that was all you were able to say.
Yoimiya looked at you like there was the slightest bit of pity, but overall her face looked cold. Almost as if... she didn't care.
She obviously didn't want you here. She chose Sara over you.
"Goodbye," Sara said, suddenly shutting the door in your face. She had enough of you and you clearly interrupted them.
You didn't know where to go. You feared if you went back to your apartment Ayato would be there eagerly waiting for your return. You didn't want to see him, you just wanted to curl up in a ball and sob for the rest of eternity.
Not wanting to stay in front of Yoimiya's door, you slowly made your way to a nearby park. Actually, the same park you went to with Ayaka and Yoimiya just the other day. You didn't bother following the trail. You went into the forest to go hide. Once you felt you were deep enough into the woods you collapsed onto the ground and curled into a ball and cried.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
You weren't sure how long you were there, but after a while, you looked up and it was dark out. You wanted to go back to your apartment but there were two problems.
One: what if Ayato was there waiting for you to come back?
Two: that crazy girl who stabbed you was never caught, there was always the chance of crossing paths with her again.
But if you stayed here, missing, the police might eventually go out to seek you. If anyone reported that you ran away from the hospital, that is.
The one thing you really felt like doing was going back to your apartment and tearing up photos of Ayato. It took years to collect all those photos, all for you to just dislike Ayato. There still wasn't much context with the whole Yae situation, but you were almost certain that she was either an ex or you were being cheated on.
Maybe Yoimiya was right... maybe it would've been better if he stayed in your dreams. Ever since he attended your school you felt the need to revolve your world around his. You tried so hard to get his attention and to be with him, you ditched everything else.
You were starting to realize why Yoimiya acted that way toward you. It was your fault for leaving her for the Kamisatos. You started seeing her less and less, and the two of you slowly drifted apart without you realizing it. You felt so stupid for not realizing it any sooner. Especially when she didn't text you back several days ago, because she always texts you back immediately, well, at least she used to.
As much as you didn't want to, you stood up making the decision to go back to your apartment. You didn't want to lean on a tree trunk all night, and your stab wounds still ached. If Ayato was there waiting for you, then you'll just have to hear him out. But you're so scared to hear the truth. You just don't want it to be real.
While walking back home, you stayed extra cautious. You never knew if that girl could be stalking you again. The last thing you wanted was to relive last night.
Thankfully, you ran into no crazy girl that wants to stab you along the way back.
You stood face to face with your apartment door. Anxiety consumed you as you slowly unlocked your door.
Today was probably the worst day of your life, so what more could happen that would be even worse? The thought was a little reassuring, knowing that you've probably been through the worst already.
When you opened the door you saw the silhouette of a figure standing in the back of the apartment.
"Hello, Y/n..."
(I DO NOT KNOW WHO THE PERSON SHOULD BE, SO PLEASE COMMENT HERE WHO YOU'D WANT IT TO BE!!! whoever is requested most I'll probably do them)
