You dropped your bags as you stared at the blued-haired man sitting on your couch.

"How did you get in here?" you asked, astonished.

He smiled. "Your door was unlocked."

You...left your door unlocked...

You always made sure to lock it before going out.

"I forgot?" You sounded more surprised about your door being unlocked than Ayato being here.

He shrugged in response.

You were gone for at least two hours at the grocery store. A robbery could've happened while you were gone. Although, you didn't have much that was worth stealing. The little bit of money you owned was either kept in a small safe in your closet or was on the credit card that you had on you almost 24/7.

Gasp!

But not only is your money precious...

You darted to your bedroom and cracked open the door just enough to peek an eye through. You sighed in relief when you found all your posters still on the wall.

"What are you doing?" Ayato said right behind you.

You somehow forgot he was here, so you jumped a bit when he spoke.

"I was worried if someone sto--" you started then decided to change the entire subject, "what are you doing?"

"Oh, sorry, I forgot to ask permission before coming over." Ayato said then pointed at a suitcase, "I'm going to be staying here for the next few days."

Your jaw dropped.

"Unless you're not okay with that, then I'll just rent out a hotel. I can't stand Itto, so I couldn't imagine living under the same roof as him for the next few days."

It took a moment for your brain to process what Ayato was saying. He wants to stay here? He could rent out a hotel that's a hundred times nicer, but he came here first?

"Yeah, fine by me," you managed to say, "but I only have one bed-"

You turned around to find that Ayato was no longer behind you. He made his way to the front door and started picking up the groceries you dropped.

"-I can take the couch, though."

Ayato was so focused on putting away the groceries you even wondered if he heard you.

You grabbed his hand to catch his attention while he was putting a box of pasta into a cabinet

"We can share," Ayato responded.

"Yeah, I was going to make the pasta for dinner for the both of us." You said.

Ayato chuckled, "no, I mean we can just share the bed."

Your hand immediately dropped from his.

Share the...

...BED?!

Your face felt like it was about to explode like fireworks.

"I can just...take the couch." You muttered.

"The couch would be an uncomfortable space to sleep on, so I will not allow that," Ayato informed.

"So you think sharing my bed is a better idea?" You forced yourself to stare at his face.

Ayato froze to examine your solid red face, "well, if you're not comfortable with that I guess I'll just have to sleep on that rock-hard couch-"

"No, we can share it....that's fine..." You somehow managed to spit out.
