Ayato smiled and nodded.

At that moment you felt your heart stop completely.

"I had to make sure you wouldn't wake up sick again because nobody would be there for you if I left." he explained, "Sorry, I hope you didn't mind. I should have asked beforehand."

Ayato continued to slowly start walking as you barely managed to say, "I-I didn't mind." Your face lit up to a solid red color.

As you entered the school you really wanted to hug Ayato before you parted, but you needed to remind yourself that you're friends, nothing more. So what if he pushed you onto his shoulder that you fell asleep on? That's totally a friend thing to do...right?

So you left him with a simple smile and wave, still wishing you had the courage to hug him. You needed to remember your time with Ayato was limited. The Kamisato siblings only came here so they could finish their education before going off who knows where to continue their modeling career.

Even if your time was limited, you still couldn't do anything too crazy since you're just friends.

Arriving at your classroom, you walked to the back row to take your seat. Yoimiya and Ayaka were already there.

"I'm glad you're feeling better." Ayaka smiled, "I hope my brother actually took care of you, seeing how he caused this in the first place."

"He did, surprisingly." You said then turned to Yoimiya, "sorry I didn't respond to your messages. I didn't see them until this morning, and I was getting ready for school so I forgot to respond."

"It's fine," Yoimiya said.

The three of you had a small talk before class started.

-.-.-.-.-.-

After school had an interesting twist.

Before leaving you had asked Yoimiya if she wanted to hang out with you and Ayaka.

"We're going out to the mall you should come with us!" You encouraged.

Yoimiya put up a reassuring smile, "sorry, but I already have plans today."

She walked off before you had a chance to say anything else.

You found it odd that she already had plans since she usually is always free no matter the situation. Yoimiya had always been willing to bail from detention to come to hang out with you, but ever since the Kamisato's have started attending school she's been acting differently.

The thoughts disappeared when you left to hang out at the mall with Ayaka. You were half surprised when Ayato didn't tag along, maybe he didn't have a thing for shopping?

Despite that, you had a good time at the mall. You didn't buy anything since your money was all going to the next rental bill for your apartment. Ayaka on the other hand bought several bags full of clothing and shoes.

On your way out of the mall, you happened to notice a familiar figure from afar.

Sara.

She was in one of the shops with another person, but you had no idea who it was since they had a black hood over them.

You snuck behind Ayaka, hoping to hide from Sara, begging that she wouldn't see you.

"What's wrong, Y/n?" She asked as you peeked at Sara from her shoulders.

You pointed at the black-haired girl in the shop, "her."

Ayaka tilted her head, "isn't that Sara? From our class?"

You nodded, "she use to bully me. She suddenly stopped after you and your brother joined our school..."

"I see, she's just trying to make a good impression on us... well, that won't work." Ayaka cracked her knuckles as she started walking towards the shop where Sara was.

You panicked as you quickly latched onto Ayaka's arm and began pulling her back.

She set down her bags and looked at you, "I can end this all, right here, right now."

"It's fine, like I said she stopped..."

Ayaka shook her head, "it's not fine!" She turned around to walk to the store where Sara was in, but she was no longer there, "huh? Sara was there just a minute ago..."

You set your hand on Ayaka's shoulder. "Just forget about it, come on, let's go."

You helped carry Ayaka's bags to a taxi that took you back to her apartment.

The moment you opened the door to her home, Thoma immediately appeared and took all the bags from us.

"Miss. Kamisato, what did I tell you about your shopping spree habit? Your closet is already overflowing, you don't need more clothes unless you get rid of some." Thoma sighed.

"Then expand my closet!" Ayaka ordered.

"I can't just expand it. If I break down the wall that'll interfere with the neighboring apartment." He explained.

"Fiiiiiiiine," She huffed, "I'll just have to get rid of some stuff... but you're going to help me!"

Thoma blushed a bit, "of course, anything for you Miss. Kamisato."

Watching how Thoma acted towards Ayaka made you realize that he probably has a small crush. It was absolutely adorable watching him trying to make small moves on Ayaka.

You followed the two of them into Ayaka's bedroom where Thoma began to sort out everything that was purchased on our mall trip.

"Is Ayato here?" You asked out of curiosity.

"No, Mr. Kamisato is out right now," Thoma informed you.

Oh.

You were disappointed.

Even though you just saw him this morning, you already missed him.

For the next few minutes, you stayed silent and were the third wheel. Ayaka and Thoma were talking while going through her closet.

"Wait, what am I going to do with all these clothes! I can't possibly toss them in the garbage." Ayaka's heart broke at the thought of just tossing the perfectly fine clothes into the trash.

"You can donate them?" You suggested.

Ayaka clapped her hands together, "good idea!"

You noticed as the two of them sorted the clothes, that the ones in Ayaka's 'get rid of pile' were all cheaper brands that seemed familiar to you, while the stuff in the 'keep pile' looked like all high-end designer stuff.

Fancy rich people...

After a long hour of chatting and sorting clothes, Ayaka and Thoma were finally done.

Ayaka's face flushed in embarrassment, "Y/n I forgot you were here I'm so sorry! I should've waited to do this later! I'm...I'm sorry! How can I make this up to you?"

She was so caught up in sorting clothes with Thoma she somehow forget you were here, even though you engaged in their conversations.

"It's fine, really," you answered honestly.

Ayaka still seemed to feel bad for totally forgetting you were here for the past hour while sorting through her closest with Thoma.

"Ayaka...really... it's fine." You ensured with a smile.

"Still," she said, "to make up that lost time would you like to stay for dinner?"

You wanted to shout your response, but you knew you needed to be polite and restrain yourself, "Yes, that'd be fun!"

Not only did you get to stay with Ayaka longer... you get a chance to eat some luxurious meal.
