13~ The Ones We Hurt

~Julo POV~

It's been about 10 minutes since Rino left. I still just stood there, not being able to process everything that just happened. First they spill their heart out to me, then they kiss me, and tell me they love me, then they just fucking leave saying that they can't be with me. 

I was so mad at them. I loved them too, and they didn't even let me get a chance to say so. Who cares if your previous boyfriend died in your arms, that doesn't make me hate you, and not want to be with you. It's not your fault you were ambushed. I was just so mad. After a few seconds I fell to the floor, crying. I couldn't take it. The one person I love, loves me back, but they don't want to be with me. I hated it. I was so upset.

It's now been about 35 minutes since Rino left. I decided that I was going to go over and confront Rino, to tell them how I feel. I put on my bag, and ninja gear, just in case, then I headed out to try and find Rino.

On the way over there I ran into Orini, and Jayra. God Orini just needs to ask her out already man, it's so obvious they like each other.

"Hey Orini, and Jayra."

"Oh hey Julo, what's up?" Orini responded.

"Have you seen Rino anywhere?"

"Yeah I have actually, they passed by like 30 minutes ago, they went to the graveyard. Why are you gonna finally ask them out?" Orini said, laughing.

"Shut up!" I yelled, trying not to blush. "You're one to talk" I mumbled under my breath.

"What was that?" Shit she heard me?!

"Um nothing."

"Yeah uh huh, that's what I thought." Man she can be really scary sometimes.

"Anyways, thanks"

"Yep, no problem."

After that I started walking towards the graveyard. When I got there, I didn't see Rino anywhere. So I decided to call them. No answer. I texted them 3 times. No answer. I called them again. No answer. Shit now I was worried. I started sprinting over to their house, praying that they didn't do what I thought they did.

I called one more time on my way. No answer.

"C'mon Rino don't do it please." I pleaded, running as fast as I possibly could.

I was running faster than I thought I could. I finally reached Rino's house, and banged on the front door with my fist.

"Rino, open up please, I just want to talk, I'm sorry okay? I shouldn't have tried to invade your privacy like that. Just please open the door, so I know your ok."

I placed my hand on the handle, and as I did the door swung open. Oh no. Please, please, please no, not now, please. I sprinted up the stairs, and ran into their bedroom. Then I saw the notes. I briefly scanned over the contents of the first one, then grabbed them and ran to the bathroom. That's when I saw them. Laying on the floor, kunai in their stomach.

After a few hours of waiting at the hospital, the doctors said that we could go see them, and that they were asleep, barely alive, and if I had found them a few minutes later, they would've been dead. 

Orini, Jayra, and sensei were also here, I called them as soon as they took Rino away. 

I walked into the room, and saw just how bad they looked. There were machines everywhere. I had never seen them look so pale before. I also saw how skinny they were. Did they ever eat?

I sat down next to their bed, and layed my head across their stomach, sobbing. I just wanted to see their beautiful, teal and green eyes again. Hear their soft voice. Just have them wake up again.

"Please Rino, just wake up, we all need you." I whispered between sobs.
