Chapter Six: Locked Up Secrets

   Getting back inside was the hardest thing I've ever done before. I literally had to climb the wall to make it back inside. After falling to the ground in pain, I quickly and quietly went to the wall where my cell mates room were. Was hard though; knowing that this place has guards on duty at night and a big ass search light. I was almost caught twice, but luckily I said hidden. But before I could make my next turn, I hid quickly. Two guards were walking around the outside yard as I hid behind the wall. They were even talking about the Warden behind his back. "I honestly still can't believe that it's been over twenty years now since his wife died. No wonder why he's always so intimidating around the woman prisoners.", one guard said. The other one shook his head and agreed. "I heard that she was pregnant with their baby. Poor little thing, didn't get to make it to the human world with her mommy." As they continued to walk away still talking, it got me to question something: the Warden was married and lost both his wife and daughter twenty years ago? My guessing was that this all must've happened during the time I was being born. Still, it's pretty messed up.

At my Cell Mate's Room:

Once I made it finally, I banged on the window softly to wake up one of the girls. Bam-Bam and Sparkles were fast asleep, but luckily Tiny heard me. She rubbed her eyes and was shocked to see me outside. As she got out of bed to open the window, I smiled. "Hey girl!", I said quietly. "Buns! What are you doing outside? How did you even get out?", she asked me. I couldn't help but blush a bit and give out a little smile. "Yancy helped me, actually.", I said. "He promised he would help set me free, and he kept it. But I had to come back because... I need to find him quickly! Something tells me that there's something going on with the point of me getting arrested for the death of my parents. I need his help now." After explaining myself, Tiny gave me a smile like if I was hiding something. "Girl, you sure because you love that man?", she said. I blushed big immediately. Yes, I liked him. But not love, for now at least. "Uh!.. Well I- Tiny! This is important! Can you please take me to him? You were known for good burglary before your arrest. Maybe you can sneak me in to his cell?", I told her. Tiny rolled her eyes playfully and shook her head "yes". "Sure thing, give me your hand!", she said while helping me in. After closing the window quietly and locking it. She went to the cell door. It was locked. "I got this!", she said again. She removed her earring and used the clip part as a key to pick the lock. After waiting twenty seconds, the door was opened. "Shh! Remember, stay low to the ground.", she whispered.

Three Minutes of Sneaking Later...

If going over the brick wall was hard, so was laying low to the ground to avoid the guards and security cameras. But luckily I was friends with the burglar; never thought I say that. "Okay, we're here.", Tiny said as she quietly opened the cell gate with her earring again. I gave her a hug "thanks" and smiled. "Thanks girl!", I whispered. She smiled back at me, too. "No problem. You do what you two have to do. I'm getting back to my cell quickly before those guards catch me. See you in the AM.", she said. After she sneaked away, I walked up slowly inside Yancy's cell and closed the door. He was very much asleep. However I thought he still looked very good looking. I laid right next to him and put my arms around him. Next thing you know, he turns around and faces me with a smile. I found it to be very cute. But the moment he fully opened his eyes, he was in shock; making him almost fall out of bed. "BUNS?!", he said out loud. I placed my hand on his mouth and told him to relax. "Keep your voice down! I came back because I need your help." After taking my hand off his mouth, he looked at me confused. "With what? I set you free already. I thought that's what yous wanted.", he said. I turned away for a second and got up from the bed. Walking around the cell rethinking over everything that's happened up till this point. "That's the thing. I can't be free now! There's something about this murder case that made me think about what I got arrested for and why.", I said as he looked at me. Yancy rubbed his chin and thought with me. "Yous knows, some time those that are convinced or accused of a crime get no mercy or a say in it. That is, if youses had your file of the arrest then maybe yous could see more about this case to get some clues." The moment he said that gave me an idea. I snapped my fingers and looked at him. "My file! That's it! There must be something in there that's not right. I have to get it! But the Warden took it.", I said. "Only way for us to get it is to sneak into his office." I sat down on the bed upset, but Yancy gave out a chuckle and got on his knees to the cold concrete floor. "Hahaha!!!! Yous forgot, Buns! I know every nook and every cranny in this prison.", he said while pulling something out of his pocket. When he did, I wanted to laugh but I was starting to find him stupid. "A spoon?", I asked. He gave me a smile and said, "Ha! Not just any spoon. WATCH!"
