After a few minutes of silence and Phoenix having his arms around the riftwalker, Yoru spoke and removed Phoenixs arms
"After I finish eating you can come to my room, unless you rather sleep in yours"
"Can we sleep in your room..? I just wanna be surrounded by your scent...I know that sounds weird but..I just really miss you Yoru.."
Yoru blushed from hearing Phoenix say such things and tries to keep his face turned away from the firebird so he doesn't see the riftwalkers red face.
Yoru boils water and then pours it into the ramen cup all while trying to keep his red face hidden from Phoenix
"It'll only take a few minute-" before Yoru finished his sentence he felt a light kiss on his neck which surprised him and caused his face to turn a deeper red
"Whatcha hiding there butterfly? Hmmm?~"
"I-im not hiding anything so stop bothering me"
"Then why did you stutter?" Phoenix forcefully turned Your around and wrapped his arm around his waist pulling him in "oh? What are you so red for my butterfly?" Phoenix lifted up the riftwalkers chin to make Yoru look at him and placed his thumb on Yorus bottom lip gently caressing his soft lip.
Yoru felt like his heart was going to jump out of his chest from how fast his heart was beating "Y-Your always so damn touchy"
Phoenix smiles softly at the riftwalker
"I'm only this touchy for you Yoru" the firebird says this in a soft and genuine tone as he then moved some of the let down hair of the riftwalker just to lay a light kiss on his forehead.
Yoru tries to hide his smile but fails miserably and it makes the firebird blush
"Ah..why do you have to be so cute..." Phoenix says as he plays with the riftwalkers hair
"I don't know how you can be so blunt with those things..."
"I just say what's on my mind and you, my butterfly, are the most beautiful piece of art I've ever seen"
Since Phoenix wouldn't let Yoru go the riftwalker just hid his beet red face in the firebirds chest from embarrassment "your an asshole.."
Phoenix chuckles "only to you my short little butterfly"
Yoru lightly punches Phoenix
"Just let me go so I can finally eat"
Phoenix let's go of the riftwalker and smiles again as he sees Yorus blushing face

After Yoru finishes his Ramen both him and the firebird head to his room for the night
As the firebird walked up to the bed he started to undress himself and it catched the riftwalker by surprise
Yoru covered his mouth with his hand
"W-why are you taking your clothes off?"
"Hm?" Phoenix turned his head to the riftwalker "I thought I told you, I usually sleep without anything on except my boxers"
"Ah..yeah, forgot about that" Yoru said this embarrassed and then walked up to his dresser to pull out some night wear but after a while of standing there the riftwalker decided to also just sleep in his boxers. ("It wouldn't be the first time so it's completely fine...right?") He put his night clothes back in the dresser and then turned around to get into bed to only find that the firebird was staring in his direction
"What are you looking at?" Yoru questions Phoenix and places his hand on his hip, standing in a femine pose unintentionally
The firebirds face reddens "Ah..nothing, just surprised your sleeping in just that" Phoenix respondes not really there as he's trapped in his thoughts as he stares at yoru from top to bottom
Yoru could just feel the firebirds eyes feeling up his body and that makes him feel a bit excited, he could feel himself getting hard just from Phoenixs stare. The riftwalker walked over to the bed and laid down on the left side of the bed.
Phoenix laid down beside him on yorus right and pulled him in close
"Your so small, always easy to drag around"
Yoru scoffs as he rolls his eyes at Phoenix "God your so annoying, I think I'm regretting letting you sleep here"
"Nah bruv, I know your happy to have me here holding you close" Phoenix smerks as he has one arm around the riftwalker and pulls him closer to where Yoru is on Phoenixs chest "that's more like it, isn't this how you like to sleep with me? With your head on my chest?"
Yoru doesn't say a word and slightly nodes hoping that the firebird catches it
The firebird did and just ran his fingers through the riftwalkers hair like he was earlier in the kitchen.
Phoenix speaks softly almost like a whisper "I know my butterfly, I know, you can lay on my chest whenever you like" Phoenix kissed Yoru on the forehead that made the riftwalker smile
Yoru tries to hide his smile but the firebird stops him "Yoru, your smile is beautiful, so please mate, don't hide it"
The riftwalker just let's out a small embarrassed groan
Yoru hated to admit it but he loved all the physical touch he got from Phoenix since he's always been so touch deprived, from simple things like hugs and other things that involved sexual activities. In fact Yoru has never really received any touch of the sort until Phoenix came around and even though it was embarrassing to admit Yoru has never had sexual interaction with anyone before.
The riftwalker wanted it all but only from the firebird but Phoenix probably didn't want that much yet
That's what Yoru thought but oh boy, if only he knew how wrong he was
Both just cuddled for a while enjoying each other's presence and touch until Phoenix moved and topped Yoru. He then placed his hand on the riftwalkers cheek with his thumb on Yorus bottom lip, Phoenix gently caressed it as he stared at the riftwalkers lips
"Butterfly....can I..kiss you?"
