Scarlett's POV

I watch y/n as she gathers my papers into an unorganized messy pile and proceeds to stack them over each other, completely disregarding the condition of my papers.

"Calm down. You're ruining my papers" I hiss.

I don't normally react like this over lousy papers but i just got this job and I don't want to mess anything up. Y/n's father was correct when he told me that Brown doesn't usually hire just anyone. I need to do things right, this time.

I get up and grab my papers out of her grasp. I look at them and one of them is completely crumpled up. Not a good start Scarlett.

"I mean, look at this. Come on." I say gesturing towards the crumpled up paper.

She glances at it and redirects her vision on me "Sorry" she says offering a shy apologetic smile.

Why am I not angry? I should be, but for some reason I'm not. God it's her smile that does this to me. I can't think like this, it's wrong. I have a boyfriend. Why did I even accept her offer? too late now.

"Earth to Scarlett?" She says waving a hand in my face.

Oh god did I just zone out in front of her. How embarrassing. I look down as I feel my face start to heat up and continue fixing my papers into a neat stack. I shut my computer and carry everything.

I clear my throat "Where are we going?" I ask.

She furrows her brows in thought "I know this good burger place, let's go" she says demandingly.

I usually hate it when someone tells me what to do, but for some reason I don't hate it when y/n does it, which is odd. Anyways I'm not going to be that easy.

"Burgers really?" I ask at her childish request.

"Oh come on don't tell me you're a vegan or something" she asks curiously.

I laugh "I'm not a vegan y/n, but what if I was? what would you do?" I ask genuinely interested in her answer.

"I would walk out right now" she says sarcastically pointing to the exit.

I roll my eyes.

"I'm kidding, I would simply suggest another option" she says sincerely.

"Really?" I ask. Who knew she cared.

"I mean yeah, who am I to tell you what to eat?" She says.

I smile and walk towards the exit with her. Before I could walk out I feel y/n nudge me.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

She takes my papers and my computer into her grasp, safely securing them under her arm. She looks down on me and gets a little closer.

"Right now? absolutely nothing" she says softly.

She continues to walk while I'm frozen. Why am I feeling this? Come on Scarlett get your shit together.

She opens the door and looks back at me.

"Changed your mind?" She asks confidently as a smirk crosses her lips. I hate it when she sees the effect she has on me. Game on y/n, game on.

"Not yet" I say as I walk past her outside making sure I keep the eye contact strong. I notice her look away which makes me internally smirk.

I walk outside and I'm immediately hit with a gust of wind that was a little too cold for my liking.

"I'll put the heater on, don't worry" y/n whispers  behind me almost grazing my ear. Oh y/n don't start something you can't finish.

She walks forward and unlocks a car opening the passenger's seat. No way this is her car. It's a beautiful black Rolls-Royce. Who am I kidding, of course it's her car. I almost forgot that she's incredibly rich thanks to daddy's money.
