Chapter 18: AdIna

Adam's POV (Naruto's Counterpart)

"Guys! You gotta read this!" Cherry entered the room, her eyes glued to her phone. Di niya napansin kaming dalawa ni Ina looking awkward. The cause of my distress is oblivious to her surroundings ◐.̃◐

Ina ran out of the room while I was stuck on my spot. Should I follow her?

"Adam!" Cherry screamed. "Anyare dun? " she pointed sa tinakbuhan ni Ina.

What do I do? Should I explain to Cherry or run after Ina?

I decided to explain to Cherry instead.

"Long story short: We were talking, then things got awkward then you entered and she ran away."

Cherry looked at me confused. "'Di ko gets."

"Basta. It's just how I said it," I told her. I'm sorry, I love you but I can't be bothered to go into details.

Cherry went close to me. "Ang gulo mo pero run after Ina. How dense are you? She likes you!" I got really alert the moment she yelled on my ears. So I got on my feet and went searching for Ina.

Oh crap! I don't even know where she is! How do I find her?

Well, based on the ugali niya, I guess she'd be the type to go to isolated places. Library, park, rooftop... Library!

I ran the fastest I could to the library. People were coming out of it and most would walk in front of me so they pretty much blocked the view inside. How awesome is that.

When there's hardly anyone, I tried to find her from where I'm standing which is outside the library but then, I got nothing.

I decided to go to the rooftop. I couldn't open the door.

I went running to the park of our school.

Zilch. Crap.

Mala-flash, if that's the right term, basta mabilis kong tinakbo ang stairs. In short, my feet quickly brought me sa isang pinto which leads to the rooftop. Yup, I went there again.

Goodness, it's locked. I have two options left. Both options would eat up my conscience if I were to do them but I had no choice. This is for Ina anyway. I decided to go with the safer and more preferrable option.

Ngayon ko lang 'to gagawin. Wait, was my Filipino right? Ugh, not the time to think about that. Just get down to your dirty business, will you?

I grabbed my wallet which was in a hidden pocket on my pants (to prevent it from being stolen).

I took the bobby pin in there and sighed.

After a few seconds, I was able to finally open the stupid door. I immediately checked for any signs of Ina inside. And nope, she's not there.

It's 20 minutes past the bell. By any chance, was she inside a hidden area in the library? She's probably home by this time. Dummy, I could've contacted Cherry to ask.

I could feel my phone vibrating in my bag. I took it without thinking and answered the call.

"Hey, Ina," I greeted.
