Charles, Nola and Charlotte were having a conversation about things in the car on the way to restaurant. Nola took out phone and text Freya, knowing it was a bit before midday and she would be probably be at work.

I'm going to just go for it, I'll call you later x

She would know what Nola meant by the message and Nola was exactly of that perception, she would just go for it. She would do what she wanted to do. It had been two and a half years, Anthoine would always hold a special place in Nola's heart, she would always love him. But Freya, Charles and Charlotte they were all right, Nola needed to move on and do what is right by her. She knew she liked Pierre, she couldn't doubt any feelings any longer. Knowing Pierre as she did, she couldn't fault him, and she knew he was a great friend, she was scared of losing that and scared of what would happen, but she was scared every single day of her brother getting in that car, she had already lost three important people in her life, two because of the job that they loved, she couldn't live in fear. She had to do what she wanted to do and do it now.
"Are you okay?" Charles asked his sister, Nola looked up and smiled
"I am, are you?" She answered
"Yeah, you seem different, did something happen?"
"No, why?"
"No reason, it's a good different though. I like it" he said. Nola smiled at him and he smiled back. Charlotte knew, she was sure she would tell him if Nola didn't get to first. But for now she wasn't worrying about other people. The trio got out of the car when they arrived at the restaurant, there was cameras everywhere. Lando and Daniel had arrived at the same time and Lando put his arm around Nola to protect her, Charles smiled at his friend and thanked him
"Here, come with me away from them" he said, gesturing to the paparazzi outside. Nola nodded and walked in with him behind Charles and Charlotte. She sat down at the table and we were the only ones here so far. Charles and Charlotte said opposite Nola at the table and Lando sitting next to her. The chair on the other side of her vacant. She wondered if Pierre would get here and sit down next to her. It didn't really matter but she secretly hoped he would, especially after their conversation.

"Do you want to share some wine?" Charlotte asked, Nola nodded and Charles ordered the girls some while they waited for the rest of the group to show up.
"Thank you" Nola said as the waiter put the bottle in front of her, Nola opened it and poured Charlotte and herself a glass each. She heard commotion and looked towards the door where some people were coming in. Max, Alex, George. They all had someone with them. Nola recognised them as the girlfriends of all of the drivers, Daniel had his girlfriend here as well, Lando was the only one without his girlfriend here which Nola thought was a shame because she was really nice when they had last spoken. Pierre walked in and smiled and said hello to everyone and noticed Nola sitting talking to Lando, he smiled and sat down in the available seat next to her. She turned to face Pierre as he was pouring himself a glass of water
"Looks like I saved you a seat" She said, making him laugh
"You did, I'm glad" he breathed, he had a couple of his friends seated beside him but he paid them no attention, "you look amazing" he mumbled. Nola looked down and inspected her outfit choice, still good. Pierre looked down as well and admired her outfit. Her dress hiking up a little as she crossed her legs, exposing her thighs, he quickly averted his eyes, hoping she didn't catch him staring.
"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself" Nola chuckled, his eyes sparkled as they stared deep into Nola's. He loved her eyes, beautiful green.
"It's nice to hear you laugh like that" he said
"Like what?"
"Just different, so care free and calm" he said. The waiter came back round collecting drink orders for the rest of the table, Nola looked up across the table and saw Charlotte smiling, she mouthed something to her and Nola had no idea what she said, and shrugged
"I said, you go girl" she spoke in Spanish. Knowing the table wouldn't really know what was said as they didn't speak it. Charles did though, he looked up in the direction Charlotte was looking and smirked at Pierre and Nola. If his sister was happy, he was happy. He saw Nola smile at Charlotte before Pierre spoke again taking her attention away.
"So how are you doing?" He asked
"Good, really good. And you?" She replied
"Definitely better now" he said
"Is that because I'm here and it makes your day" Nola teased, she wasn't sure where the confidence was coming from but the wine was helping, she sipped her drink again
"You certainly make my day whenever you're around" Nola's heart skipped at his words
"It's a good job I'm here then" He laughed at her statement and the group soon started eating their dinner. The conversation flowed easily, Nola didn't really speak to anyone else at the table, just Pierre. Pierre was glad, he wanted her full attention, he paid no attention to his friends.
"Do you guys want to take your drinks outside?" Daniel asked, everyone seemed to agree and they all stood up and walked outside to the terrace. There was music playing quite loud and everyone went and sat down in their own little tables chatting away, Pierre beckoned Nola over to a little table on the far side. It wasn't too far away from everyone else but it was enough to give them a certain amount of privacy, Nola wasn't opposed to the idea.

"What's with this different attitude?" Pierre asked as Nola sat down next to him. The sofa of the outdoor area making it cosy
"I'm just at the point where I don't care what anyone has to say or think, they all have their opinions, mostly positive, but it's not about them. And I've gone on far too long punishing myself instead of being happy" Nola said, Pierre smiled at her. He was definitely glad, he wanted her to be happy to, and she had nothing to punish herself for.
"I'm glad, you should always focus on yourself" he said, Pierre's hand brushed Nola's and she turned to look into his eyes again, which wasn't ideal for her. She got lost in them. They were blue like the ocean, sparkling in the light.
"And if I'm going to feel guilty about anything, I need to at least do something first to even feel guilty about" Nola whispered. She didn't know where all this courage was coming from. It was like she had taken a turn, couple that with a two bottles of wine between Charlotte and herself, and she seemed to have all the courage in the world. Pierre admired the change in her, it was like she was herself again
"Do what?" He whispered back, the pair were sitting quite close at this point. Nola had already made a bold statement and she was wondering whether to follow it through or not, would he be okay with it, would it be nice. While she was caught in her thoughts, Pierre put his hand on Nola's face, brushing his thumb against her cheek. He started into her eyes, Nola knew there was no turning back, she got caught in the moment and it all seemed perfect, like a movie setting
"This" She mumbled as their lips touched. Nola closed any gap between them that was left and melted into Pierre.

He kissed Nola back with no hesitation, his hand moving to Nola's neck to hold her in place against him. He couldn't believe what was happening, he had wanted to kiss her for so long, and here she was taking charge, Nola couldn't explain the feeling of what kissing Pierre was like. Fireworks were going off in her head, her mind was racing, as was her heart. They say when you kiss someone you just know, and Nola knew. She knew it felt so right, she knew she didn't feel guilty, she knew she didn't feel sad, She felt happy. This was the right thing for her, the right thing for Pierre to. He had spent so long liking her, crushing on her and it led to this moment and it was so worth the wait. Nola kissed him more, shifting her legs so one of them was over his, completely turning to face him, their lips moved in sync, Pierre let his tongue graze Nola's bottom lip, Nola parted her lips slightly and his tongue moved in, Nola's tongue touched Pierre's. They both couldn't get enough, it felt like two pieces of the jigsaw fitting together. Pierre smiled against Nola's lips, one of her hands around the back of his neck and in his hair, the other on his chest. He was certain she could feel his heart racing.

"OH MY GOD FINALLY" Lando screamed as he watched the scene unfold in front of him. His shout drawing attention to the whole group who turned to look in the direction of Pierre and Nola, the couple pulled away from each other, both smiling. Nola turned to face the group of people they were with and they were all clapping and cheering. Nola felt embarrassed slightly and put her hair down trying to hold in her blushes, her face was definitely going red.

"Yes Pierre" Lando shouted, silly boy behaviour but it made Nola laugh, she looked up at Pierre, who was still smiling. Nola's legs draped over his lap, his hand on her thigh making her skin tingle, as if to stop Nola from moving away from him. Not that she wanted to, she was happy to sit with me him like this. She wanted to sit with him for ages. All night in fact.
