Nola woke to the sound of someone walking up the stairs of the house, she brought herself home after being sick, well Pierre had arranged for her travel and she climbed straight into bed and off to sleep. Now though, someone was trying and failing and walking quietly through the house, she assumed it was Pierre. She groaned when she reached for her phone to check the time, 6pm. She shivered and pulled the blankets up around her as the door to the bedroom opened.
"No No?" Nola looked towards the door when she heard the very distinct voice of her brother. Not that of Pierre's which she was expecting. If she was feeling 100%, Nola would of rolled her eyes and told her brother off for the silly childhood nickname. But right now she didn't have the energy.
Charles finished up early and came to check on his sister after hearing she was sick. Pierre, regrettably, had things to finish up at the track, otherwise he would be home by now. Charles climbed into bed next to Nola and pulled her into him, comforting his little sister.
"How are you feeling Nols?" Charles asked quietly
"Rubbish" Nola grumbled. Charles placed a hand to Nola's forehead, feeling how warm she was, she certainly had a fever.
"Have you been sick again?" He asked, Nola shook her head. Nola was miserable, she felt like death, she was exhausted and she was also annoyed that she was missing out on one of her favourite races on the calendar, a place where both her brother, and her boyfriend had won at in two consecutive years. "Are you hungry?" Charles asked, Nola shook her head.
"I just want to sleep" Nola said, Charles nodded in agreement.
"Go back to sleep sorella" Charles said, he stroked Nola's hair away from her face and she nodded, settling down again as Charles tucked his sister up properly in bed, making sure she was comfortable as he sat and watched her drift off to sleep.
Nola didn't realise that through the evening, Charles left and Pierre arrived, she just slept the whole time, all the way through until the following morning when she was gasping for water. She groaned as she turned over and hit the floor. Pierre sat bolt upright when he heard the scream and the thud.
"Nola!" He shouted, he clicked on the lamp and saw her in a heap and laughed out loud at the sight. Nola was confused and let out a giggle at her current situation. Pierre came round to her side of the bed and scooped her up with ease and put her back into bed.
"What happened?" Pierre laughed and tucked her back into bed
"I wanted water" Nola said quietly. Her voice was barely more than a whisper, but the sleep had certainly done her good. Pierre put his hand to her head and she was still quite warm.
"I'll go and get you some, try and stay in bed this time" Pierre said, Nola smiled softly and settled down and waited for Pierre to come back.
As it was already 7am, Pierre stayed up instead of bothering to go back to sleep. He brought Nola's water to her before he jumped into the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day. Nola followed, although Pierre wasn't sure.
"What are you doing out of bed?" He asked her, she stood in front of him as the hot water fell down them both, Nola wrapped her arms around Pierre's naked body, facing away from the water.
"Getting ready" Nola said
"You're not well Nols, you need to rest"
"It's quali day" Nola replied simply
"Nola, you're staying home today" Pierre said, Nola pulled her head away from Pierre's shoulder and looked at him
"I'm not. I'll be bored and I'll be fine today. I don't want to not be with you" Nola said. Nola was rarely ill, and when she was, she was a very clingy person. Pierre knew this from when she was younger and it made him laugh now.
"Nols come on, don't be silly. You don't need to be there today"
"I'm not listening to you" Nola hummed and let go of Pierre and let the water wash over her. She didn't feel great, she still felt a little faint and very warm but she felt better than the previous day, and she didn't want to not enjoy Monza.
"You're so stubborn" Pierre chuckled, they both showered before Pierre picked up a towel and wrapped it round Nola, before wrapping another around his waist.
Nola took some painkillers, her happy pills and some vitamins and followed Pierre out the door to the garage so they could drive to the track. Pierre had tried to talk Nola into resting and even roped her brothers into it, all of them currently in Italy and rang her or text her, but she was adamant to go to the track. Her temperature had come down a little more and she just wanted to enjoy the weekend again. Especially when Arthur was racing for F3 this weekend, so she wanted to be there.
Before Nola made her way to the Alpha Tauri garage, she stopped off to see her brother. Charles was kicking about a ball outside with Carlos, of course he was. But Nola made sure to see him, Arthur and Enzo for a little while before she was Team Pierre again.

The day flew by, and Nola promised to take it easy. She knew Pyry was being a bodyguard today, but she did as she was told and sipped water like a fish and sat comfortably in the garage with her headphones on as Pierre went in and out of the garage for qualifying. Today was a good day. Charles was doing well, Pierre was doing well and the Italian sun was shining down on a lovely day. The atmosphere and the good spirits were helping, and as Nola laid on the sofa in Pierre's room she felt loads better, more than better. Although the Alpha Tauri doctor had checked her out to make sure, as Pierre requested, she was just waiting for him to finish the final briefing before they could go home.Currently, Charles was on pole for the race tomorrow which was amazing and well celebrated. Pierre however qualified 9th, but was waiting for some final changes to be made due to penalties, so it was likely he would be moving up but unsure as to where. Nola hummed to herself as she got comfortable and scrolled through her phone.
"5th!" Pierre yelled, as he waltzed into his drivers room. He didn't realise Nola had fallen asleep until she jolted up, looking around. "Oh pea, sorry" he looked over at her sympathetically but she smiled anyway
"5th?" Nola questioned, rubbing her eyes and yawning.
"Yeah they've finalllllyyyy decided" Pierre dragged out his words, quali had finished 3 hours ago so it was about time. "I start 5th" Pierre smiled
"Yesss" Nola joined him in the smiles and sat up and stretched her arms up above her head
"We can go now. We'll get some food and go home" Pierre said, Nola nodded in agreement and yawned again before tucking her phone away in her bag. "How are you feeling?" Pierre asked as he pulled off his Alpha Tauri top to swap for his own that he had arrived at the track in today. Nola smirked a little as he stood half naked
"Much better" she answered him and he chuckled at her as her eyes darted down to his chest and stomach and back up to his eyes again. Nola was tired, but she would rather be in her own bed. Tomorrow was race day, and it was shaping up to be a really good one. Charles first, Pierre 5th, so much could happen, and in one of their favourite places as well.
Nola loved Italy anyway, and now she lived here. But it was also where Charles won, and Pierre won, it was a special track for them both, and that meant Nola felt it to. For now though, she was going to rest as much as possible to make sure she didn't feel any worse tomorrow.
