Nola walked into the paddock holding hands with Pierre, Charles on her other side with Charlotte. Nola had sunglasses over her eyes and her head down. This weekend was the Belgian Grand Prix, they were in Spa. It was only Thursday, but even walking into this track was the most painful thing in the world for the three, Nola wasn't sure what to do or what to say, so she stayed quiet, she had been like it all week. She tried to be okay, but she found herself just hiding away in herself. Three years ago, on this very weekend is when that fatal accident occurred.

"Nols?" Charles called his sisters name, they had been walking but she suddenly stopped in her tracks, letting go of Pierre's hand, she was lost in her thoughts. Charles put his arm around the her waist and guided her through, there was cameras and people everywhere, and Charles wanted to protect her from it. Pierre wasn't sure what he should even do today, it was almost awkward? His girlfriend was sad and crying over her ex, but that ex happened to be such a close friend to them all, and Pierre was equally as sad. The night before, both Pierre and Nola had just cuddled in bed in silence, she didn't say a word to him, but he knew she felt things more deeply than most people. It was hard for them all.

Pierre took over and took Nola into the Alpha Tauri garage with him, and up to his room. He opened up the door and let her walk inside.

"I'm sorry" Nola whispered, her voice was almost inaudible, croaky and sad. She turned to face Pierre as he closed the door

"Why are you saying sorry?" Pierre asked, he placed a hand on Nola's cheek, stroking with his thumb, he used the other hand to take off her sunglasses, which hid her beautiful green eyes, harbouring so much pain.

"Because it's not fair, you lost him to. And I'm pining over an ex" Nola said, almost like she could read Pierre's mind, like she was in tune with him

"Oh Nola, we all lost him. That doesn't mean I can tell you how much to cry or how sad to feel, and he's not just an ex. He was the love of your life, he was a friend, a soulmate, a beautiful person inside and out. I'm comfortable with it, and you feel things a lot more deeply than others" Pierre said, he softly kissed Nola's forehead and pulled her against him. "You never ever say sorry for how you feel, especially not to me Cam" Pierre whispered, Nola nodded a little. How she got so lucky to have someone so understanding she would never know.

Pierre and Nola left the Alpha Tauri motor home hand in hand, walking towards the track. Nola's sunglasses were back on, as were Pierre's as they both carried flowers. Cameras snapped away at the two, but they both had tunnel vision, so unfocused on anyone else but each other. The walk of the track was not the official one Pierre did every week, this was the walk he had done every year since Anthoine's passing. Nola hadn't been back.

They walked to the top of the hill, Nola clutched onto Pierre's hand as the flashbacks came flooding through her mind. Hearing the screech of the car, the bang as it hit, hearing the crowd, watching the screen. It was one of the worst days of Nola's life.

"We can stop?" Pierre asked, Nola shook her head. She kept walking, if she stopped she was afraid she wouldn't carry on. This was going to the be the worst weekend for her, she wasn't even sure how she was going to get through. As she arrived at the scene, someone had already put some flowers here, it made her smile. She knelt down and placed her flowers down, and clung to the cross around her neck, saying a little prayer, as she did, sun came streaming through the cloudy sky, rays casting over herself, Pierre, and the flowers she had just placed down. It made her cry, Anthoine. He was the sunshine in everyone's lives, but he was with them now, shining down on them. Nola kissed her cross and put it away before standing up.

Pierre stood up and took Nola's hand again, bringing it up to his mouth to place a soft kiss, before they left. She was in a daze, she wasn't sure what to say or what to do, she just knew she wanted to make sure Pierre was okay. Pierre was worried about Nola, he didn't want her left alone for a single minute, and he knew she would be panicking about the race and watching it. But what could he do? There was nothing, apart from just be there for her at every opportunity.

"Are you hungry?" Nola spoke as they got to the end of the pit lane, Pierre smiled and nodded. So they both walked through to the paddock and straight to the hospitality.

"I love you" Nola whispered as she sat down next to Pierre with a plate of food in front of her, she was certainly comfort eating as she didn't have many healthy options on her plate

"I love you" Pierre whispered back, placing his hand on the back of her neck and running his fingers along. It made Nola smile. "I know it's going to be difficult for you, the race, the whole weekend. So I've asked Pyry to stay with you the whole time, it's not to watch you, it's just so you're not on your own, but if anything is wrong anything at all, you tell someone okay?" Pierre said, Nola smiled, of course she was worried, the whole thing frightened her to death every single weekend, every single race, but this one in particular she really really didn't like, but it's not like she could tell Pierre or her brother to not race, to not do what they loved most, so she had to suck it up. She also wasn't going to put Pierre in a position where he was worried about her.

"I will" Nola nodded.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt" Nola jumped when she heard someone else's voice, Lando had approached the table with Daniel "I just wanted to say Luis and I are thinking of you this weekend" Lando smiled and leaned down and hugged Nola.

"Thank you Lands" Nola whispered, burying her face into his neck, both the guys fistbumped Pierre asking him if he was okay.

"You can join us if you like?" Pierre said to them, they both nodded and got some food. "You know you've still got your sunglasses on... inside?" Pierre chuckled

"There a permanent fixture, no one needs to see how tired and emotional I am" Nola laughed, but Pierre pulled them off of her face anyway "hey!" She yelled

"You look beautiful, I promise" Pierre smiled and placed his hand around Nola's chair, his thumb stroking her arm as the guys came back to the table.
