Chapter 25: Do We Have a Deal?

Rumple's POV 

Walking to the cemetery, getting stopped by a police siren, seeing Emma get out of the patrol car as I turn to look at her. "What is it?" 

"I went to her house, and there was a necklace under the table next to her front door." Holding my hand out for the necklace my heart dropped as it was the one that I returned to her. 

"Gold? What's going on?" Looking at the Savior I shook my head. "This is (y/n)'s, she bought it from my shop the other day, it finally made it's way to the right person." 

She nods gently for a second, "Do you want to give it back to her?" Nodding gently before putting it back into my pocket. "That would be best." glancing at the ground before turning to walk again, she walks next to me. 

"We need to find her soon, it's going to rain. She's terrified of rain." She gets in front of me making me stop. Leaning on my cane, I was getting irritated. 

"There's something else going on, how do you know she's scared of rain?" huffing slightly while looking at her. "She's been my courier for a long time, we've talked about things. She gave me that insight a long time ago." 

She crosses her arms as she looks at me. "Are you sure that's all it is?" Nodding at her she finally dropped the question. I needed to get to her before the rain started. She needs me. 

Your POV 

Waking up in the mausoleum for the second time, I frown as I feel tears fall more. Where was I? Who would do this? Did Rumple know? I had so many questions and so little answers. Hearing the door open to the mausoleum after a little bit, my ears perked up. 

Looking towards the door as I was in the corner. I heard a familiar voice. "(y/n)?" Jumping up before hitting the floor again from the chains on my ankles. Sniffing slightly while seething in pain. The sound of a wooden cane hitting the floor and fast footsteps over to where I was sitting. Seeing the same floppy hair that I had known for the last 30 years, time being frozen or not. 

"Rumple." crying gently as he slid across the floor, hugging me tightly, leaning into him as I did my best not to cry. Failing from the relief of being able to see him again, after not knowing if I would or not. Feeling him rock slightly to calm me down, something that always works. 

"I think she has a key over there, as much as I want to go home with you, I'm quite literally chained down." Watching him turn to look at the wall that I pointed at, he stood to find the key. After a few minutes of him looking, he unlocked the chains. Letting me up as I tackled him with a better hug. Hugging him tightly as he nuzzles into me I smile gently. 

"Come on, let's get you out of here. Emma doesn't know that I know where you were." he looks at me as I nod gently. "But, the necklace, it came off when i got k-kidnapped and I don't know where it went." 

Feeling him kiss me gently, he smiles. "I have it in my pocket, I can't give it to you now, Emma knows I have it, but when Emma finds you, come back to my shop and I'll put it back on you all over again." 

Smiling gently and nodding. "You better do it the same way you always have." watching him smile and nod he kisses me again. Watching him get up, I stood with him before grabbing his cane. Handing it back to him I smile gently. "No more throwing this, I'll have to punish you." 

Purring at me as he smiles down at me, doing my best to try not and show my enjoyment. His face softens as he looks at me. "I'll have to hold you to that, love." Giggling and nodding gently. "I suppose you will, Mr. Gold." 

Feeling him shiver against me at the sound of his name. "Now skedaddle. You should make yourself scarce before Emma shows up. You know she's never far behind." 

He nods gently, before leaning down and kissing me again. Watching him leave, I bit my lip while watching him walk away. Taking in a breath, I left the cemetery and made my way into town. Thinking of how to sound convincing, wondering on who would be able to kidnap me. 

~time skip~ 

Rumple's POV 

Once I was back in my shop I sat down and sighed gently. Today has been a long day. Looking up after hearing the door open, I jumped up as I saw her. Walking a couple feet without my cane, stopping in my tracks. "What did I tell you about the cane?" 

Stopping and turning around again to grab it from the counter, resuming my walk back around the counter. Getting to her I smile as I hug her. "Did you find Emma?" I ask as I look at her. She nods gently before kissing me. "I did, I told her that I could smell whiskey when I was captured from my apartment, and the locks in the car were taking out. So the car had to be an older model where you can unhook the locks from inside of the door. Or cut them down or something." watching her rub her temples, I kiss her forehead. 

"Now that that is all settled, I have something for you." She spins around while i add the necklace back to her neck. "It better not come off this time." stating as she turns around again, kissing me gently. "Now, you've had a long couple of days, you stay here for the night where it's safe," 

Watching her nod for a moment, I smile and kiss her. "I don't want you to complain if I'm wearing one of your shirts!" hearing her yell as she was already in the office. "I wont ever complain about that." I mumble before locking the shop and going to the office where she was. Something was going to happen and I didn't want her out of my sight not even for a second. I just hoped I was wrong. 

Your POV 

Waking up in the middle of the night, I got up from Rumple's bed, listening to him snore next to me was a sound I missed. Kissing him gently for a moment before getting up for water. Deciding that some fresh air would be nice for a moment. Leaning against the building and rubbing my arms. there was a sound next to me that made me jump. 

Hearing the sound of a voice I stopped in my tracks. "Do you think that because you're at Gold's shop that I couldn't find you." Feeling my heart pound it was Regina. Stepping back and getting stopped by the wall behind me. "What do you want?" 

"To end you once and for all. Sydney's little kidnapping didn't hold, so I'm going to finish the deal, and you know who I am, we cant have that." Watching her raise her hand with a ball of fire in it, I tried to get back to the front door of the shop before she threw it. Covering my face as I waited for it to hit me, only it never came. 

"(Y/n)!" 

Opening my eyes, the fireball was stopped in front of me by a forcefield Looking down to see it was coming from the necklace that Rumple gave me. He moved me behind him once it fizzled out and the necklace stopped glowing. 

"Get back inside, now." 

"Rumple, I'm fine, the necklace stopped it." 

He turned his head to look at me while I was behind him. Nodding after seeing the look in his eyes before sighing doing what I was told. Going back inside. I went back to our bed an waited. 

Rumple's POV 

Looking at Regina as she glared at me. "You enchanted the necklace to protect her. Clever." 

"Have to be, especially since I know how you are." Looking at her as i stepped closer to her, our eyes meeting. "I have a deal for you, I'll do whatever you want, as long as you keep her out of it." 

She looks at me for a moment before smiling gently. "Whatever I want huh?" nodding slightly as I looked at my cane before back at her. "Do we have a deal?" I asked as I looked at her again. She nods gently before we shook hands. Now (y/n) should be safe.
