Your POV

Once Rumple used magic to clean up the kitchen and fix dinner, I decided that I would turn in for the night. After about a month of being with him in the castle, he let me have an actual room. It was a lot better than the musty old cell in his basement, by a long shot. Laying on the large bed that was mine, I sat up and moved the curtain that was attached to it closed. Laying back down I looked at the top of the bed, it was a deep purple.

There was gold lace that hung around the posts of the bed and the skirting. The room was one of the more beautiful ones in the castle. Sighing I decided to get some sleep, laying down in the bed I got comfortable and drifted off to sleep slowly.

~Dream Time~

I woke up in a bed that I hadn't been in, let alone thought of throughout the years. Sitting up I made my way out of the bed as I recognized the little hut that I was in. It was where I used to live, with my parents before they were murdered. Getting out of bed I ran outside.

"Mama! Papa!"

Running around as I still had no shoes, I managed to find my parents. Jumping onto my father's legs as I found him.

"There you are, Peanut!"

Picking me up he rubbed the tip of his nose against mine, making me giggle.

"Did you sleep okay? Mama said she couldn't get you out of bed."

I nodded as I smiled wide at him.

"Good! Let's go find Mama now Peanut, she should be getting some things for dinner tonight."

Putting me down, he looked at me before he held my hand and we started to walk off into the bazaar. Locating my mother, we made our way back to the little hut that we called home. Getting on the step stool we had so I could help out when I was needed.

"You can wash the potatoes, while I start peeling the carrots."

Nodding I did as I was told. Taking the large spud in my tiny hands, I started to wash the dirt off of each one, rinsing them and then setting them aside to be peeled and boiled. Dinner was anything it had been before. Though the only different thing was that I couldn't drop the smile I had. I hadn't seen my parents for nearly a decade, and now I was able to. Even if it was only for one night.

Seeing them in my memories was better than not seeing them at all. It wasn't long until they were putting me to bed, and tucking me in. My mother smiled gently as she brushed the hair from my face and started to sing me to sleep.

Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly

Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared

Beauty and the beast

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before and ever just as sure as the sun will rise

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise

Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong

Certain as the sun
Certain as the sun
Rising in the east
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the beast
