The owner of the most sought after wedding planner firm in Seoul, Yoon Jin Ah always makes herself available to meet her high profile clients, especially when a CEO of a Fortune 500 company is the client. Turns out she has to plan a wedding for someone from her past. Can she do it?
••••••
Even for a summer, this has got to be the hottest day ever. Measured at almost 35 degree Celsius, the heat wave is no joke. It is suffocating and dizzying.
At least, that's what Yoon Jin Ah tells herself after she not-so-elegantly passed out in front of her client. As the owner of the most sought after wedding planner firm in Seoul, she doesn't have to be present at a site visit for an upcoming wedding, except for three conditions:
One, it's a wedding of a family member; she can't escape this even if she wants to, unless she wants her mother to kill her. Two, it's a celebrity wedding; even though she considers herself as a celebrity, she won't reject the additional exposure her firm gets from the event. It's good for business.
And three, it's a high profile wedding; the kind of event that involves a higher ranking officials in the government, influential families — chaebol and the likes — or business tycoons. Like the one she attended this afternoon, or better yet, like the presidential wedding she handled that turned—
Ugh, never mind. It was not her place to talk about what drama happening in that televised — goodness! It was televised nationally — event. What she wants to point out is the fact remained, she planned the wedding masterfully. Whether the wedding was happening is beside the point.
That event is what lands her newest client on her account. And based on the questionnaire the bride filled in prior to their first meeting today, while the bride comes from an upper working class family, it's the groom that makes Jin Ah categorizes their wedding as a high profile one.
A CEO of a Fortune 500 company.
Okay, to be honest, Jin Ah eyes this one skeptically. Is it possible that the bride lied when she filled in the questionnaire?
She only filled in her name, her address, her occupation and blanked the groom's everything except his occupation. It's fishy, really. Too many questions simultaneously entered her mind; questions that needed answers.
Hence, the first meeting.
Held at the venue the bride wanted for her wedding, Jin Ah finally put a face to the name she read so many times since last week. A jet black hair draped on her back, a pair of plump lips that were so natural in its pink color, and big doe eyes that fluttered with excitement — nerves? — constructed her client's perfect face.
Jung Hee Ju was a beauty.
"Wow." Jin Ah mumbled as she appraised the younger woman.
"Yoon Jin Ah-ssi?" She greeted her once she arrived at their table. Jin Ah stood up from her seat and smiled.
"That's me. And you must be Jung Hee Ju- ssi."
She nodded and took her seat as Jin Ah lowered herself down to sit again. "Nice to meet you, Jin Ah-ssi."
"Likewise," Jin Ah paused, thrusting the menu to her client. "Are you here alone?"
The beautiful woman looked up at her. "Oh, my fiancé will be here later. Sorry, he still stuck in a meeting."
"It's alright. Can we get to the point before we tour the venue?"
"Sure."
Jin Ah went through the questionnaire and clarified a few things with the bride-to-be. Like the kind of concept that she wanted, the size of the wedding and— the budget, of course. She needed to know the limit of her flexibilities in terms of budget spending.
