Dr. Yoon Se Ri met Dr. Ri Jeong Hyeok on his first day working in the hospital. Since then, he would initiate contact with her everyday. Saying hello in the nurse station was practically a foreplay, along with a brush of his fingers on hers when he gave her morning coffee. They sort of close friends.

What happened when one of them going on a date with other people? Will it change the course of their relationship?

Seri

Every girl should meet a guy who could draw your smile without so much effort, who could make your heart sing when he kissed you goodnight, and most importantly who could make you cry with pleasure when he made love to you. I was lucky to meet that guy a few years back.

I met Ri Jeong Hyeok in my first year as a resident. He was the new Ortho attending in the hospital fresh from finishing his residency at Doldam Hospital. I was in his service that first day and what a first day that was.

Jeong Hyeok.. was hot. God, was he hot. Like McSteamy hot. His physical attributes reminded me of the actor playing Min Tae Gu in The Negotiation. I believed you would let yourself be kidnapped by Min Tae Gu anytime, right? Unfortunately, that sentence about being kidnapped? It was bursting out of my mouth right after he was introduced by the Residency Director. All of my friends stared at me trying to make sense that I really was saying those words. Jeong Hyeok? He chuckled.

"Well, you're next in line Dr. Yoon, as nearly every patient of mine was asking the same thing." And then he winked at me. I blushed of course hearing his comment. We coincidentally checked out from the hospital at the same time that day. And apparently his car parked beside mine.

"Hi, Dr. Yoon, right?" He awkwardly greeted me. I turned around and smiled at him.

"Hello, Dr. Ri."

"Please, Jeong Hyeok is fine. You usually come out this late? I thought everyone has already gone."

"I have a couple post op patients that I have to observe. From Dr. Gu. I was in his service last week." He nodded.

"I see. Hope you find Ortho as exciting as Neuro. You live nearby?"

I could only nodded. I couldn't exactly say that I lived in Mark Hills, could I? No one would ever believe it anyway.

"I still find this city intimidating. It'll get better, right?"

I laughed. To people coming from other town, Seoul definitely could be a little overwhelming. The city, the people, the energy.

"You'll find a spot in the city that feel less intimidating. Take this from someone who's been lived here a loong time, the intimidation would never cease. See you tomorrow, Dr. Ri." I quickly got in my car and drove away.

From then on, Jeong Hyeok would initiate contacts with me everyday. Even when I was no longer in his service. Saying hello in the nurse station was practically our foreplay, along with a brush of his fingers on mine when he gave me my morning coffee. The thing was, he never asked me out on a date. It was like he was afraid to change the course of our relationship. What we had was easy. We sort of close friends. Yeah, I guessed I got myself another close friend in him. Didn't see that one coming actually.
