chapter 29

the argument with ashtray didn't last that long , he didn't apologize by just flat out saying "i'm sorry"

not that he needed to apologize , it was a stupid little argument. but he was an asshole for a good hour or two after.

he ended up being really affectionate , which he never is. so i'm guessing that was his way off saying he was sorry , i don't know.

but either way i enjoyed it.

and i noted , "don't be nice to boys who complement you in front of ashtray , it pisses him off."

i think it kinda cute how "protective" and jealous he got.. weird ? maybe.

after school i ran into rue , and to my surprise she asked me to hangout.

well actually , she didn't ask. she just kinda dragged me along. but hey , no complaints from me.

"so , we're gonna hangout with jules and elliot."

i turned to her , "elliot ?"

i've never heard her say that name before , maybe it's someone new ?

"oh right , he's my new friend." she said , tapping my shoulder.

"he's cool." she added on , me giving a nod in response.

"so we're going to jules house or..?" i asked , not really knowing.

"elliot's." she answered.

"mm." i hummed , letting silence fill the air until we reached a house , and rue walked up to the door.

"yooo." rue spoke , me following behind her.

"yo- who's this ?" he said , looking at rue and then me.

"my friend , mar." she wrapped her arm around my shoulder.

i nodded , letting rue basically drag me to a room. where jules sat.

"hi rue ! oh , hey mariana !" she smiled at me.

i smiled back , giving her a wave.
i didn't like jules. but i couldn't say a reasonable answer as to why , so i'll just pretend to like her.

"cool name." elliot said to me.

"thank you." i spoke for the first time.

i was nervous , i didn't know elliot as i was in his house.. i knew jules , but i've only been around her a couple times.

i sat down next to rue , she sat.. more laid. on the edge of the bed , as i sat right by it on the floor.

they started talking about something i had no clue about , so i pulled out my phone.
