29: Love & Hate/Day Out

Angel POV

I stand on the side line waiting for the last skater to finish. I finally notice April, Dad and my mom.

Don't worry, you got this, Angel. Just breathe.

I say a silent prayer before they let me warm up on the ice. I am very focused when I warm up because if I'm not I'll gain to much adrenaline and will tire myself out. There's a few cheers as I glide back and forth stretching my legs, practicing my spins and jumps.

I look for Tony for any last minute instructions but he gives me a thumbs up. "You did great" I nod. They give me the cue and my music starts.

I almost fell getting off the ice, thankfully no one saw. Tony walks over to me with fake tears "that was beautiful, honey" he hugs me and my coach congratulate me. "I'm so proud of you" she says. "Thanks, Ms. Carter" she smiles at me. After I'm walked over to my dressing area.

April waits for me "You did so good, Tay!" She hugs me tightly. "Where's dad? We're supposed to watch Sunghoon skate" I ask and she points outside. "I'll be back" I walk over to the stairs.

"This will be the very last thing I say to you, Adrian Reed. I don't know what you're doing bothering my daughter in her home"-

"Wait-wait a damn minute! This is my daughter too. What do you mean bothering her"- "I know you're trying to corrupt her to make her hate me but it won't work" "What the hell are you talking about Talia?" I walked a bit closer to the stairs. "I know you told her to put me in court for her money"

what is she talking about?

"I never told her to put you in court, I just found out from one of my friends on the case" my dad lies. "I've never tried to push our daughter to do anything she didn't want to do, unlike you. Have you ever considered"-

my mom cuts him off "That's why your such a disappointment of a man. You're not consistent in anything! That's why we're divorced" my dad is silent for a little.

"You divorced me because I didn't want to play in the nba, because I followed my dream" I step back. "For someone in the field of logic, you're not very damn logical. You still don't realize the money we lost!"

She divorced him because he didn't want to be a basketball player? I'm literally doing the same as dad, she'll never talk to me again. It was like he never existed to her, Will she do the same to me?

"It doesn't matter, now I'm never talking to you again" I hear her walk up the stairs and I run back to April. "Did you find them?" I nod with a fake smile. "They're coming" Dad comes and notices me first. "Hey kiddo! You did great!" He hugs me.

"Thanks dad" I say. "Come on, let's go watch Sunghoon" my dad says and me and April follow him. "I'm going home" mom says, me and April wave at her before going with my dad. "You okay?" April asks and I nod fake smiling.

Sunghoon POV

The Next Day

Angel asked me to hangout with her the entire day. "Are that excited to leave your mother all alone in a foreign country?" I frown. "It's not like that mom" I say as I close my bag. "I know. Have fun and make wise choices" she emphasizes the choices and I nod.

"See you tomorrow" I kiss her cheek and head to Angel's car. She smiles at me and I go into kiss her but she moves. "Wah! I'm going to be your boyfriend soon and you won't let me kiss you" she slowly shakes her head. "What's wrong?" I make her look at me and she smiles.

"Nothing, still kind of shocked I got third. There we're a lot of good skaters yesterday" I rub her head. "Yeah but... you were better" she shakes her head. "You were better Mr. 1st place Ice Prince" she pokes me. "I was shocked too" I explain

"That was my first time skating in my 'Ice Prince' skates. I still wasn't quite used to them yet" she nods. "Have you ever heard of Dave and Buster's?" I shake my head and she starts the car.

"Why is it so big and dark?" I ask when we step inside. "Wanna find out?" She looks at me and I nod sticking my hand out. She grabs my wrist and starts taking me to a game.

Why is she acting like this? First she won't kiss me and now she won't hold my hand. Maybe she's nervous, I can be more subtle then.

It's a snowboarding simulator. "How do you use this?" She hops on the snowboard like base and starts the game. "Just act like you're actually skiing. When there are turns, lean your body the way of the turn. That's how you control it by leaning your body"

She demonstrates what she said getting 2nd place. "Okay, oppa try it" I get on the base and start the game. Unfortunately I wasn't able to execute it correctly and got 6th place. "It's okay... let's go to the next one" I get off the snowboard.

"Woah! what is that?" I ask Angel. "Ummm... it's a... cow nose ray. "Wait" I see some little kid walking down the stairs and into the water "you can touch it?!" She nods. "If you pay for it" she says. "Oh. Well let's go see something else!"

I drag her back into a building. She runs smack dab into the tank. "Look at the Jelly fish, oppa!" She says excitedly "I've always wanted one the glow in the dark ones" she puts her hand on part of the glass with a jelly fish behind it.

"They are pretty. Do you know anything about them?" She looks at me with big childish eyes as she explains different things about the fish. "Not all Jellyfish can glow in the dark unfortunately. The glow actually protects the jellyfish from predators..."

She looks so adorable and animated when she talks about this. Unlike when she talks about Ice skating, her eyes light up and she smiles so breathtakingly. It makes me fall for her even more.
