51: Haime & Keeho

With Keeho and Haime

"Babe?!" Keeho calls his tempered girlfriend  from across the school table. "Yah?!" She was on her phone, drinking bubble tea doing nothing of any importance but still managed to have attitude. "When do you want to meet my parents?" The boy asks making the tomato faces girl spit out her tea and bubbles.

Keeho panics and pats her back frantically with worry "Are you okay?!" He asks. Haime couldn't stand how he could say stuff subtly and casually all the time. "How can you say that so casually?" The shaken girl asks and he shrugs. "I really want you guys to meet!" "We've only been dating for a month. What's the rush?" She asks, knowing the answer. "Maybe cause I've met yours" he says.

Keeho did meet her parents by accident one night dropping her off.  "That was an accident though" She whines and Keeho kisses her forehead. "Babe, I promise that my parents aren't scary, okay? They really want to meet you" Keeho says to calm Haime, but it was true, his parents were quite surprised at how fast he got comfortable at his new school.

His dad was even proud of him and especially wanted to meet Haime. "I'm just not ready yet, okay?" She says in a stressed tone, walking away from him. Keeho was confused, since did his girlfriend, Haime, care about approval and acceptance? He watched her walk away into the school building when his sulking was interrupted by his 2 juniors. "Hyung? Why the long face?" Sanbin asks, the said boy points in the general direction of the mint green building.

"Haime?" Sunghoon guesses and Keeho nods putting his head in his arms. "What happened?" Sunghoon asks. Keeho explains how he wants Haime to meet his parents and her reaction, the two listening boys glance at each other during the story. "Hyung..." Sanbin trails as Keeho glances between the two. "W-what? What?!" He asks. "You're going at it all wrong" Sunghoon finishes, Keeho combs his hair furiously. The bell rings signaling for the next class and the boys disperse.

The time had finally come to go home. Haime avoided Keeho all day which bummed Angel a little, did they both have to suffer? "Unnie! Please answer Keeho oppa, if your phone rings one more time I'll go deaf" Angel whines at the older girl, she answers begrudgingly. "Yes?" "Where are you? I'll walk you home" "No need! I'm already far from campus" Haime says earning a weird look from Angel, who stays quiet.

"O-oh" Keeho falters "Okay then, I'll text you later then?" "Sure" Haime hangs up, which allows Angel to speak. "Far from campus are we?" Haime facepalms as the younger smirks. "Where's Sunghoon? I'm going home!" Haime storms off leaving the girl in a laughing fit. "What's wrong?" Are the first things she hears when she walks in her house, her mom knows her so well. "You just assume?" Haime laughs.

"I know. Now tell me" her mom says suddenly serious.  "Okay..." Haime gets comfortable on her living room couch "Keeho wants me to meet his parents but I'm not ready" she says and her mom nods before quickly sitting up. "Is he pressuring you too?!" Haime immediately shakes her head and her mom relaxes again "Then why don't you want to?" Haime lays her head against the couch.

"I was hoping you would know" her mom gets up laughing and kisses her forehead. "I do. But how fun would it be if I didn't let you learn yourself on your own" she says, going to her room. Haime wondered how much her mom had drank because that didn't make sense at all. Frustrated, Haime rolls around punching the air and whining. She suddenly stops "Mom?!" "Huh?!" "Do we have choco ice cream?!" There's a long pause. "...No! Go buy some!" Haime continues her tantrum.

Haime walk into her school wearily, she was going to talk to Keeho but kind of hoped he wasn't here. "Haime!" She jumps as Sunghoon calls her, she could've beat him to a pulp for the unnecessary jump scare. "Hi, Unnie" Angel waves and Haime gives her a light smile before looking for her boyfriend again. "Who are you looking for?" Sunghoon asks. "Something to beat you with" Haime balls her fist at the younger boy disturbing her.

"Haime!" She jumps again at Sanbin's voice lowly growling this time. "You're rather jumpy today, Unnie. You okay?" Angel asks to which Haime nods. "Hey guys!" They greet Sanbin "Why are we standing like this at the front of the school?" He asks, Sunghoon leans toward him. "Haime is looking for something" he backs away, finger to his lip and Sanbin nods with the 'okay' hand gesture.

"We don't have to stand here, let's"- the girl was interrupted by a "Haime!" This time it was Keeho, she closed her eyes praying to disappear. Angel grabs both the boys "See you later, Unnie" she pulls the deeper inside the school. Haime can hear Sunghoon complaining "Do you have to grab him? He can walk" and Sanbin crying "But I wanted to stay and watch!" as they walk away.

"Look, Haime, I'm so"- the said girl cuts him off "Let me talk! I'm sorry I ignored you yesterday." Keeho starts to open his mouth but she stops him. "Wait! I know what you're thinking, approval's never been my priority." "I know"-  "But when it comes to people I'm close to or care about, I like to be excepted by people that care about them and that they care about" "I fig"- "I just really wanna your parents to like me, so I'll do my best and meet your parents"

Keeho hugs her into his chest squeezing her face. "I was going to say, I figured that" Haime pulls away confused. "How?!" He points to his eyes. "You don't see these bags?! I got no sleep last night so I'd better have an idea" he says making her laugh. "Do you want to meet them tomorrow?" He asks taking his girlfriend's hand as she breathes before nodding "Great!"
