LOVE LANGUAGE: EN- BOOK 1: SUNGHOON (OLD)

68: D-Day

Angel POV

Me and Unnie woke up at the same time, after washing up we both stepped outside for some air. I could feel this overwhelming feeling settling over us and it hurt. Even though we'd only met a few months ago our time is Sunghoon's life average out to be almost the same. He was our common denominator and we both cared about him deeply just in different ways.

"I'm gonna miss him" she starts. "Me too. I'm gonna miss him a lot" I say. "I just want to tell you, that you don't have to worry about him while he's away. As you can see he'd rather ruin his own relationship then having someone else ruin it for him. He's a good boy with a pure heart that needs some guiding" She says and when she starts crying, I cry almost simultaneously.

We hug, holding onto each other, letting out all the pent up emotion we'd been holding in and avoiding the past few days. He's really leaving. We finally let go of each other only to laugh at ourselves. "We're crying like he's going off to war" I say. "Who is he?! Making us cry like this? We should get him back" Unnie says.

Looking back I'm upset with how I acted towards his clingyness now that he was leaving me for a while. I'm going to miss it. A lot. I looked at the time, in 15 minutes he'd be leaving in 6 hours. After attempting to pull ourselves back together we head back inside to see everyone awake.

They immediately look at us and Sunghoon immediately hugs me. Damn him! This makes me cry again. "Babe... are you crying?" I nod and letting him go, he tries to pull me back but I don't let him. "Say bye to everyone else first" I say before walking to my room.

After some time Sunghoon enters my room, he hasn't changed his tear stained shirt as I thought he would. He closes the door and sits next to me, he pulls me closer to him. I sit on his lap and start crying again burying my face in his shoulder. He rubs my back in circles "It's okay, I love you so much" he says as I continue to cry.

I calm myself down not wanting to tire myself out. He pulls me to look at him and wipes my tears for me and gives me butterfly kisses all over my face. "I love you" I tell him with a small voice, he looks like he's going to cry. "Don't cry, don't tire yourself" I tell him and he nods making one tear fall.

"You'll trust me right?" He ask and I nod. "You'll trust me? I won't get mad at you as long as you tell me. Like I've told you before, no matter how bad you think it is, you can't think for me" I explain and he nods a few tears slowly escaping from his eyes. I wipe his face and try to smile at him

"You shouldn't cry, you should be happy. This is something you really want and I'm so proud of you for trying it out even if you have to go far from me and everyone that you care about . When you make it, it all be worth it and we'll be together again" I tell him with a sparkly eyed smile. "Smile for me, baby" I tell him and he does.

His smile is so much better in person no camera could ever quite catch the full essence of this handsome human in front of me. He hugs me again and this time it isn't a sad hug it's a hug that reminds us that we'll always have each other and to reassure each other of our love for one another.

Mom is here and she's making sure Sunghoon has all his stuff packed away for his trip. "Do you have warm and thin clothes?" "Yes but why do I need both?" He asks. "What's the weather like where you're going?" I ask and he shrugs "Exactly" Mom says making him roll his eyes "Do you have your phone charger and headphones?"

Mom was getting ready to continue but Sunghoon stops her. "Mom, I'm sure that I have everything. You even sent me a list that me and Angel double checked" he says looking at me and I nod in confirmation looking at Mom, realizing something. This is probably a lot for her right now, her first son, her very first baby is leaving without her far from home.

Who knows how she feels as a mom, I'm just a girlfriend. I nudged him with this realization but it was too late she broke down crying. "I- I- ah" she tried to speak but couldn't stop bawling her eyes out, Sunghoon hugs his mom while I stood back. "Sunghoon-ah, you-you have to~" he pats her head shushing her.

"Mom calm down, you need to catch your breath" he says in a calm voice and she eventually calms down. "You have to promise not to give up, okay? I've already given up a lot just to even let you go" she says tearfully before looking at him "I love you so much son. You are destined for greatness" she says rubbing his cheeks.

They then let each other go and she wipes her face. "I promise I won't give up no matter how hard it gets" for some reason my face started itching and scratch it only to feel something moist under my finger tips. I was crying, no I didn't miss my mom. At least not that much since she didn't seem to care for me but I missed my dad.

I've talked to him a few times recently but with the time difference and his busy schedule we don't talk as frequently as we should. Ugh and now Sunghoon is leaving and I won't be able to talk to him either! This is not about me! I wipe my face and try not to cry anymore. "Angel? You'll still visit me even when he leaves right?" Mom asks and I nod smiling. "Of course I will" I say smiling at her.

In the car Sunghoon was literally smothering me but I let him enjoying his touch for as long as I can. He would kiss me several times in one place and say silly sweet things to me and make me laugh. When we entered the Airport I felt deja vu but it made me smile.

"Let me give you something to remember" he says. "I have the teddy bear, though" I show him. "I have something better. Close your eyes" I hesitate before closing them. He grabs my waist and smashes his lips on mine. Why is he kissing me?! He's sick.

He lets me go and I open my eyes. "Are you trying to get me sick?" He shakes his head. "Okay, go rest now" I wave goodbye to him and watch him leave. "Text me when you land!" He says before walking out. "I really like you" I say aloud.

"I really love you, Park Sunghoon" I say aloud, kissing him for the last time for a while.
