I was surprised that half the day hay passed so quickly and uneventfully, though I was quite grateful, if I could just keep my head down like this for the rest of the day, hell the rest of the year I would be game.

Currently I was standing in the lunch line with Jace waiting to get a quick snack before my next class.

However, there was something on my mind, that was relentlessly prodding me to ask,

"Who was that guy from earlier?"

"What guy ?"Jace asked confused, the cutest crease in his forehead.

"That guy from chemistry. The one who came in late" I said faking the hell out of my nonchalant tone.

"Oh no not you too." He said with a very displeased look his frown deepening as his drppied of mock horror.

"What are you talking about?"

Not me too. What the hell was that supposed to mean.

"He's done practically every girl in this school. For some reason they all want him, when they could have this right here."

I laughed at that, then frowned when I realized what he had said.

Every girl in the school?!

My wolf was back. And she was mad...and hurt. And also feeling possessive as hell, with the need to drive a stake of ownership through his heart.

Told you we didn't need him. I informed my internal companion.

Ofcourse we do. That was his past. We're his future. She insisted quickly.

Sure...  Oh boy, denial was not a pretty colour on her.

"What makes him so damn appealing?" I asked  him, genuinely curious as I tried to gather more information on my mysterious mate.

You already know.

"Hello I'm a guy I wouldn't know."

I was disappointed because I wish Jace knew more about him, maybe then I would be able to make an informed decision as to a way forward. However, there was this far reaching place in the back of my mind that continuously tried to claw its way to the front. It was as if I felt like I knew him, my mate that is but I hadn't the slightest clue as ti where or when that could have been. Though, there is the fact that I lived here for 8 years of my life, maybe he was someone I had met before.

Without dwelling on it further I took my tray and followed Jace in search of a seat. Before we could find one however, my phone vibrated in my back pocket and I fished it out only to realize I got a text from Jake.

'I'm outside under a Willow tree. I have something to tell you ;)'

'Okay I'll meet u there in two minutes.' I texted back.

I turned to Jace with a smile.

"How do you feel about eating outside?"

~

As I entered the clearing I could already make out Jake sitting on the lawns and a beautiful brunette sat close by him - and they were holding hands.
