Autumn

I could sense the danger before I saw it. Or, more accurately, heard it. A piercing scream. I already knew what had happened. I had a bad feeling about the humans. Amber had made it clear she trusted them. Lily had said to give them a chance. Joy had said they could be different. But there was no time to say "I told you so." I had to move fast. I ran towards the direction of the scream. It was Summer Toadstool. A toddler's scream is the worst thing you could ever hear, believe me. There was a large army of people surrounding us. They all had their faces covered with masks, none with wings, all with the same goal. Destroy, enslave and take over. I instantly fired an arrow at the nearest one. In the past, Lily called me distrustful for always having my bow on me. Joy had called me crazy.

I shot many arrows, worried I would run out, worried I might hit one of our good people who live in the Cypress Garden. I needed to capture as many as possible, give as many of our good people weapons to defend themselves with as possible. Spring, Lily and Milly were all trying to lead the children away, including young Jeremy, whether they were the orphans or not, it didn't matter. I continued to fire more arrows. I wasn't even caring where they landed as long as they hurt the enemy. But it was no use. We were outnumbered. They captured us all and led us inside Amber's castle. They shoved us into the nearest chamber and locked the door. They would move us to the dungeons soon, but this room was closer.

I turned around. Every single face was petrified. None of the children had escaped with Lily, Spring and Milly, instead they were all trapped in here with the rest of us. I didn't know what they would do to us. Kill us, torture us or turn us into slaves. I didn't want that to happen to any of these good people. I turned to face the girls whose fault it was. I pinned Shelby against the wall.

"WHAT ARE THEY GONNA DO TO US?!!" I screamed at her.

"I-I don't know!" She stuttered, shocked.

"DON'T PRETEND YOU DIDN'T HELP THEM. SMUGGLED THEM IN UNDER OUR NOSES! HELPED THEM ATTACK US!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

"STOP! Autumn we don't know what the heck is going on. Leave us alone! PLEASE!" Kaitlin pleaded.

I didn't loosen my grip on Shelby. I held on harder. This was their fault. I was about to grab my bow and shoot her, when I realised I was out of arrows.

"Autumn, think about what you are saying! What possible motive could these two have? And when would they have organised this? They were in the company of another fairy the whole time! And why would they have gotten themselves captured as well?"

"Autumn, we don't know anything! We were going to go play outside but then there was a portal that teleported us or whatever it did to us and then we ended up here!" Kaitlin pleads again.

I have no choice but to let go of Shelby.

"You have a good friend up there." I hissed into her ear and pointed up at the ceiling.

Amber didn't know what she was talking about. But I would punish these two later. Right now, we had more urgent matters to discuss.

"Anyone have any ideas on how to get out of here?
