"hey that's the classroom where the two zombies were having sex at." sae-bom pointed out, watching as the drone passed by a room on the highest floor.
gyeong-su looked at her weirdly. "did what?"
sae-bom shrugged. "well, they weren't really having sex. i just thought they were cause of the position, turns out it was a zombie biting a person."
"how do you not realise that from the first glance?" su-hyeok looked at her with wide eyes.
dae-su then wondered, "you think zombies could actually have sex?"
sae-bom looked at him in disgust. "that's necrophilia man. gross."
he shook his head. "no, that's if a living person had sex to a dead one. i'm talking about two dead ones here."
sae-bom hummed in curiousity. "you have a point..."
the other listeners in the room - sans joon-yeong - just looked at them with horrified and weirded out eyes. "what the fuck."
"guys focus. look at screen instead of... listening to what these two are saying." the others nodded, looking back at the screen as they simply ignored what dae-su and sae-bom had been previously conversed about.
their eyes then watched the scene playing on the screen, the drone entering the infirmary. "no one in the infirmary." wu-jin stated.
"looks gruesome." gyeong-su muttered, shuddering slightly.
"joon-yeong, go somewhere else." dae-su requested.
nodding, joon-yeong controlled the drone out of the infirmary, stumbling upon a horde of zombies directly outside of the place. "why're there so many..."
sae-bom trailed off of what she was saying, as her stern irises noticed something. though, wu-jin managed to beat her to it. "is that an arrow?"
"joon go back." sae-bom instructed the boy, the guy obliging as he directed the drone to its previous place. noticing that what they had seen was correct, sae-bom spared a worried glance to wu-jin. "'jin, you don't think..."
he looked back at her, a similar look on his face. "it could be..."
she then shook her vigourously, denying it. "she's supposed to be at a competition today. she's not supposed to be here. she's not supposed to be in this fucking hell hole-"
"sae-bom." wu-jin stopped her, grabbing ahold of the older girl's hand, rubbing his thumb in a comforting motion. "we're going to find her."

"it's cheong-san!" on-jo exclaimed, finding the boy's familiar figure standing humanely in the choir room of their school.
a sigh of relief left sae-bom's mouth, leaning against dae-su, who stood straight beside her. the boy grew flustered at the feel of his crush leaning against him, not really knowing whether to stay still or hold her so that she doesn't fall. gyeong-su seemed to have other plans though.
the boy grabbed her shoulders, shaking them vigorously as tears prickled his eyes. "he's alive! cheong-san's alive! cheong-san's--"
"shut the fuck up and stop shaking me!" sae-bom slapped the side of the boy's head, other hand reaching his shoulder. used to her antics, the relieved smile on gyeong-su's face didn't falter, as he then hugged the girl tight, his head above her chest.
"sae-bom, he's alive." gyeong-su muffled out, not loosening his hold on the girl. sae-bom looked at the boy, before giving in as she returned his hug. she wrapped an arm around his torso, the other reaching up above his shoulders as she ruffled his hair.
"yes, you're right 'yeong. he's alive." the girl stated in relief.
it may have seemed like these two people were dramatic (in which sae-bom was but we'll ignore that), but if we remember, they were away from the boy when he left the room, the last they'd seen him was a longer than everyone else's, especially sae-bom. they didn't want those previous interactions with him to be the last, so the amount of relief that filled them maxed.
and of course, they found him as a brother as well, so their concern for him was also high.
"now that we've found him, can we go outside of the building and search for rescuers?" ji-min asked, in which everyone else agreed.
joon-yeong then led the drone away from the school building, flying it across the school yard. as sae-bom still held gyeong-su in her arms, she turned her towards the screen watching the multiple zombies chasing after the drone.
sae-bom grimaced at the sight, turning her head out the window to watch the same scene live, as multiple zombies followed an object it the air. she then turned her head back to the screen, as joon-yeong flew the drone higher.
"the drone doesn't have much battery, does it?" sae-bom asked, her chin leaning on top of gyeong-su's head.
"i wasn't able to charge it so... yeah, it doesn't." joon-yeong replied, earning a small hum from the girl.
it's either we find terrible or useless news out there. the girl thought, eyes moving towards the window again. it doesn't have enough battery to fly past the road in front of our school, so the good news is out the window. the bad news is that we find someone that we know dead, or that these roads are completely bad, and the useless news is that the drone dies just as it passes the gate. my bet is that it's the bad.
"wait." one of the girls that sae-bom didn't recognise, called out.
"what is it?" dae-su asked, thinking that she might've found something good.
though, with the tone and the following fast paced breaths, it seemed like the complete opposite.
"wait, wait, wait, wait..." she called out, breathing in faster. "that- that's..."
sae-bom watched as the tears began to well upon her eyes, the girl quietly sighing as she concluded something.
her bet was right.
