ᶜʰᵃᵖᵗᵉʳ ˢᶦˣᵗᵉᵉⁿ. "ᵍʷᶦ⁻ⁿᵃᵐ"

as soon as gwi-nam had laid eyes upon the older girl, his mouth fell agape. his hand dropped the knife, his serious expression morphing into one of fondness, as he walked towards the older girl, embracing her tightly.

as much gwi-nam was portrayed as the bad guy, his attachment issues and determination really were the prime of it. his dedication to doing something, whether it's a good or bad thing. his commitment to the wrongdoings he did, all because his mind had forced him to stay with those people he called 'friends'. but i guess the reason behind it was because he knew he would get something in return.

like the satisfaction of revenge fulfilled once he manages to kill a certain boy.

but all of this washed away once he laid eyes on sae-bom. he grew attached to the older girl, and he didn't know whether his adoration for her was good or bad. as for a quick second, he found himself forgetting the whole reason why he was cursing cheong-san's name.

"you're alive." the boy breathed out. his nose buried itself onto her hair, eagerly wanting to be within her embrace. he didn't care for much things, yet sae-bom managed to become one of them.

at first, he found it as some sort of puppy-crush, as he found himself in awe of the things that the girl could do. he heard it all over school, the upperclassman who did shit here and there. causing chaos all the time, eventually landing her ass in a cell every week and so.

but then he came across her once, found her smoking as she sat at the edge of the roof, legs dangling. at first, he froze in his spot, as the girl that he had idolised, was simply all alone, right there before him.

before he could leave or move a muscle, sae-bom noticed him. she greeted him like a normal person would - but since she wasn't normal, she offered him a cig. obviously, he obliged, wanting to get closer with his crush.

because of her, gwi-nam grew insecure of himself. not because of his looks or anything, but because of his past mistakes. he knows he's fucked up before, heck even a blind person would. so he feared that she would avoid him, maybe even fear him.

then all sae-bom had to do was flash him a lazy grin, then he'd remember the whole reason why he was infatuated with her. that's right. she feared nothing. whether it be dealing with a wild animal, or even the end of the world, sae-bom would face it like a man.

cause she wasn't a pussy.

her influence on him was as strong as a nokia phone. he was impacted strongly, that he even managed to prevent himself from the highly wrong things. with his friends, he's only ever gone as far to beating someone up, even stealing shit on occasional situations. he never went further. as he knew she wouldn't like that.

(and because he was a simp)

su-hyeok watched the interaction with mixed emotions. his brows were furrowed, both in confusion and jealousy. how the school's bully, the boy he once hung out with, was currently hugging sae-bom. the girl that he too, yearned for.

"what happened to your eye?" sae-bom asked, glancing at the horrendously bleeding wound situated at his left eye.

gwi-nam swallowed. "cheong-san."

a huff of air escaped through her nostrils, not believing him. "right. and i can speak english."

"i'm not lying." gwi-nam re-stated. "got into a fight. he whacked a phone at my eye."

sae-bom frowned at his answer, holding the side of his jaw as she inspected the injury. "well we better cover that up, it could infected."

the boy nodded, trying his best not to blush underneath the girl's touch. as sae-bom inspected his wound further su-hyeok then asked him a question. "how've you survived so far? where're you headed?"

despite not wanting to, gwi-nam turned around, facing su-hyeok. "i was heading up. looking for cheong-san."

sae-bom's brows furrowed, "why?"

his lips pursed together, simply answering with his hands in his pockets. right. he needs to get his mind back together - and kill cheong-san. "death."

"ᵍʷᶦ⁻ⁿᵃᵐ"

the group of students (sans two other people), were all now inside the choir room. they were all happy and relieved that they reached the safe zone, as well as the fact that cheong-san was still alive.

speaking of cheong-san, sobs escaped his eyes as he hugged his best friend. all the grief and sorrow he felt last night when he thought that gyeong-su was dead had been replaced with sudden happiness.

"w-wait..." cheong-san pulled away, wiping his teary eyes as he held gyeong-su at an arm length. "how are you still alive?"

gyeong-su - who was also crying - wiped his tears away to, answering. "s-sae-bom did. she was in the room down the hall and managed to pull me away from the zombies."

hearing the older girl's name, cheong-san brightened up. "sae-bom's here?"

gyeong-su nodded, still not noticing the girl's non-existent presence. "y-yeah. she was at the back with su-hyeok. they should be-"

as gyeong-su ran to look out into the hallway, his eyes widened, noticing that neither su-hyeok or sae-bom was out there. cursing underneath his breath, the boy immediately ran back towards the staircase, looking for the two.

everyone else darted after him, a domino effect occurring as cheong-san followed after him, then dae-su, then wu-jin, then on-jo... you know the rest.

as they were about to reach the staircase, cheong-san caught up to gyeong-su, clutching his arm. "don't just go running--"

"GET BACK IN!" a voice yelled, alerting the group to look up. they all looked ahead of them, seeing su-hyeok and sae-bom running towards them, with a horde of zombies behind. eyes widened, quickly stepping back, before completely running back inside the room.

well, there goes their plan of quickly getting up into the roof.
