Following Tamaki's lead, they went to the Karate Club to spy on Yasuchika. Takashi and Kazumi followed behind, slowly. Kazumi was still feeling unwell, and Takashi wanted to keep an eye on her.
Once the Hitachiin Twins concluded that Yasuchika's problem was an inferiority complex, they lost interest altogether, but Kazumi knew they got it wrong. The youngest Haninozuka had the burden of never being good enough no matter how much he tried. And that was something she could relate to.
"Excuse me. You guys are noisy!" The annoying voice of Yasuchika interrupted them. "Mitsukuni, I just told you not to come near me at school!" He got into a fighting stance and attacked his brother with a kick, nearly hitting the Twins. "Tsk! You alien!"
"Just because his onii-san is stronger than him, he's calling him an alien?" Haruhi was confused.
"What's wrong with cakes and bunny dolls?" Tamaki asked, uncharacteristically serious.
The taller Haninozuka frowned in anger and clenched his fists. "If it were just normal cakes and normal bunny dolls, I'd be fine, too. I'm not calling nii-san an alien because he's strong." He pointed at Honey accusingly, losing all of his previous composure. "Don't you guys find it strange?! Every night after eating dinner this guy can easily devour three whole cakes! Do you hear me?! I'm serious! Three whole cakes!"
The Twins, Haruhi, and Tamaki switched their confused looks for exasperated ones when they understood where Yasuchika's bitterness was coming from.
"And then, last week, when I just happened to wake up in the middle of the night, I noticed a light coming from the dining hall. He was eating cakes in the middle of the night with candlelights! He said it was the weekly special cake night that Bunny-chan and he decided together!" He sweated in frighten from reminiscing. "D-Don't you guys think that's scary?! Isn't that scary?! Do you think that kind of human exists?! He receives signals from his bunny and eats cakes all night! Wouldn't you seriously think he's an alien?!"
"Why is it..." Haruhi started.
"... That's what little brother is saying here..." Tamaki continued.
"... Is starting to sound right?" The Twins finished.
"Even so..." Chika resumed, "we were very close to each other before. Nii-san liked sweets and cute things more than the average person. But one time, Nii-san stopped liking all of them. It was then that someone said something unnecessary to Nii-san. Something like "to acknowledge what you really like is what true strength really is"... Then all hell broke loose. He completely turned into the alien he is now."
"So it's all Tamaki's fault," Kazumi summarised. "Why doesn't that surprise me?"
"Aunty!" The half-French whined.
Takashi put a hand on Honey's shoulder to grab his attention. "There is a solution to all this. Right, Mitsukuni?"
"Chika-chan," Honey began with a puppy-eye look. "I'm sorry for all of this. I didn't know Chika-chan despised sweet things that much."
