They didn't think the situation could get any worse.
Big mistake.
They returned to the Ootori villa, and Haruhi went to prepare dinner for them and the guests, pretending that nothing was wrong. When they went to Kazumi's room to call her for dinner, they found out that the senior girl wasn't there. Nor were her things.
"The security said that a car arrived and took her away," Kyoya told them.
"WHAT?!" Screamed the hosts in astonishment. "Kazumi-senpai was abducted?!"
Kyoya cleared his throat. "Security footage showed that Kazumi greeted the driver. They seemed to know each other. He put her luggage in the trunk, and she got inside the car willingly."
"So... She left?" Honey sobbed, making the others feel more guilty than they already were since his earlier outburst.
Takashi's heart broke. He's been more closed off since Kazumi gave him the cold shoulder when they visited her house. He interacted with his friends as fine as he used to, but when it came to Kazumi, he didn't know what to do, how to act. Being quiet, brooding, and stoic always worked with the girls, but it obviously wasn't enough for the Tokimatsu heiress. And it shouldn't be.
He was so worried that she could've been hurt, but also so proud and impressed with her skills in martial arts. He didn't know what to do with all those feelings.
Kazumi was clearly avoiding him, but was it really because of his avoidance at the pool? Did he do something else to bother her so much? And when was the last time she had one of his pies? It was just pie, but the fact that she wasn't accepting it anymore pained him.
"Erm--" Haruhi started, interrupting his frantic thoughts. "Earlier, she said something about us leaving her because she was a girl? What was that about?"
That was another thing added to the list about the things that Kazumi left the hosts wondering.
"We really don't know anything about her, do we?" Tamaki sighed in defeat.
The rest of the day was tense, especially since Tamaki was still frustrated with Haruhi, who didn't understand why the others were also exasperated towards her. She even suggested that she should start taking self-defense classes. She was just that ignorant.
"That's the direction your thoughts are going, huh?" Hikaru said, unamused.
"It's not like we'd stop you or anything," added Kaoru, equally unimpressed.
"But that's not what this is about, is it?" They asked.
"To be honest, I wish you'd reconsider how harshly you acted today, too," Hikaru told her, seriously.
Haruhi blinked. "Why? Hikaru, I didn't make trouble for you guys, did I?"
"Kazumi-senpai was right. You can be very oblivious," Kaoru pointed out.
