In the end, it was like nothing happened between Umehito and Kazumi.
Several days later, they returned to their usual friendship, but Takashi knew that Umehito apologized profusely to his friend for his lack of willpower. And Kazumi kissed the cheek she had slapped.
The Nekozawa siblings got closer ever since he faced his fears to save her. The little girl wasn't as scared of her older brother as she used to be, and that's all that mattered to Kazumi and the Host Club.
It didn't take long until things at the Host Club resumed according to its usual schemes, as just a few days later, Tamaki spilled tea on Usa-chan due to the twins' shenanigans.
Kyoya was working on his laptop while Takashi kept to himself with a book Kazumi had recommended as she thought it'd be of his liking since it was about Japanese History. As for her, the upperclasswoman was pointedly ignoring the Idiot Trio, especially when it came to something that could trigger Tamaki's dirty imagination concerning Haruhi.
It still baffled her how he could mistake his feelings as fatherly protectiveness. If any father shared the same defiling thoughts as he did, said father should be in jail.
"You guys, we don't have any guests right now, so I don't mind the commotion. But are you guys sure? Honey-senpai is going to wake up."
The trio immediately froze.
"He takes afternoon naps even as a high school senior?" Haruhi observed. "Oh well, you can't do anything about something you spilled. Let's wake him up and apologize directly."
Tamaki stopped her and told her about an absurd rumor about Honey wiping out two entire platoons of Green Berets after being woken up. The "Commoner" girl wasn't convinced but changed her mind once the blond said Honey shared the same blood type as Kyoya.
Kazumi didn't bother to pay attention as Tamaki tried to put Haruhi in a bunny costume while they had Usa-chan cleaned. She was focusing on her Japanese Literature homework with Takashi's help.
"Who got my bunny doll dirty?" Honey asked once he woke up.
"H-H-Help, Mori-senpai!" Tamaki, Hikaru, and Kaoru begged.
Takashi approached his cousin. "Usa-chan wanted to drink tea really badly," he declared stoically.
The blue-eyed girl stifled a chuckle and mentally praised her boyfriend for knowing how to handle Honey so well.
"I see! That's why his face is all dirty! Will he eat cake too?" The little boy beamed, readily accepting the explanation.
"You're so sexy," Kazumi whispered in Takashi's ear when the others were getting prepared to open the club for the clients.
The Stoic Host's face warmed in embarrassment and averted his eyes, leaving the black-haired girl chuckling to herself.
