After school, Kazumi prepared to go to Takashi's house instead of hers. Apparently, her mother's relationship with Haruhi's father was becoming serious, and the Tokimatsu matriarch wanted some private time with her new beloved.
Haruhi displayed mortification when addressing the topic but didn't seem bothered by it. If anything, she almost looked relieved.
"I was worried he would never find someone again. I just hope he doesn't embarrass himself. You know how he can get sometimes..." the junior trailed off.
"Like Tamaki?" Kazumi smirked.
Haruhi groaned. "Please, don't remind me, Kazumi-senpai. I'm glad he's focusing on himself for once. He worries too much about me."
"That's nice," Kazumi expressed. "You're lucky to have a father like him."
Haruhi analyzed her upperclasswoman and itched to ask further about the topic but noticed it wasn't the best moment and inquired about something else instead.
"What about you, Kazumi-senpai? Are you okay having my dad at your house?" She got red-faced. "I mean, I don't want you to be uncomfortable."
"Ah, don't worry about that," the tall woman waved off her worries. "I'm staying at Takashi's."
A look of realization dawned upon the cross-dresser. Her cheeks reddened for not having thought about that before and for the image that came to her mind.
"Ah, right."
"Kazu-chan already stays with us twice a week," Honey jumped into the conversation happily. "And Takashi spends the night at hers once a week."
Haruhi blinked in surprise. "Are your parents okay with this?"
"They insisted," Takashi and Kazumi said in unison.
The short girl sweatdropped. "I-Is that so?"
"They wanted to get to know their future son and daughter in laws better," Honey pointed out unashamedly. He loved talking about his cousin's love life.
"Then why does Kazumi-senpai spends twice a week at Mori-senpai's, but Mori-senpai only spends one day per week at her house?"
Honey was happy to provide the answer. He was such a gossiper.
"Well, when Kazu-chan goes to Takashi's, her attention is shared between Takashi, me, Sato-chan, Chika-chan, and our fathers."
Haruhi blinked. "Honey-senpai, you and Mori-senpai live together?" She didn't know why the idea had never passed through her mind. Now that it had, it made all sense.
"Of course not, silly!" Honey laughed. "We're neighbors."
"Our car," Takashi announced as the lime parked in front of them.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow," Haruhi waved.
Honey grabbed the girl's arm, stopping her.
"We'll take you home, Haru-chan!" He ignored her complaints and pulled her inside the vehicle after Kazumi and Takashi had made themselves comfortable.
