WALKING DOWN THE BUSY WASHINGTON D.C. STREET WAS NOT EASY. Bumping shoulders with suit-clad people was making her angry, so she ducks into an alley used by many locals as a short cut. The pale-skinned girl with warm brown eyes goes this way to get to her favorite shop that sells special herbs for different things. Most sells are to a bunch of people, most are just fake psychics and palm readers, but the owner was a real one. She opens the door, letting the bell jingle.

"Aimee Kennon, this is ya third time in here in a week, honey. I might fall over." The owner--Cedella Reyes--jokes. Cedella is a thirty-five year old witch who was kicked from her coven after marrying a vampire six years ago. She has dark brown eyes, bronze skin, braids with some silver hair cuffs that reach her lower back, about five-feet and seven inches tall, and her lips sport a warm smile.

"Hey, CeCe, how's it goin'?" She asks as she shuts the door, Cedella was the first witch that wasn't repulsed or rude by her siponing abilities so they became friends.

"Ah, Lawrence is still a pain so everything's normal. Now, what'cha need?"

"Um, I missed you. Got nothing else to do, I graduated last week, I'm off of work for a few days, and I got nobody around but you. I think I'm gonna move soon."

"Oh, where?"

"Maybe...hmm, Florida? No, too hot. New York? Nah, too busy. I don't know."

Cedella gasps, smacking the witches arm jokingly. "Oh, what about New Orleans, you love Louis Armstrong."

'Aimee' chokes on her saliva in shock, it's been a long time since she heard that city's name. "No, I-I think I want somewhere else. I think I want to move to a small town, find a home, a job, maybe a dog, and settle down."

"What about finding love or a family, Aim?" She inquires as she restocks some herbal charms beside the crystals.

'Aimee' chortles as she boosts herself onto the counter, swinging her legs. "Not in my future. I don't believe in love."

"Don't you like Romeo and Juliet?"

"Proving my point, love is a Shakespearian tragedy waiting to happen. Plus, kids? Never. I don't have half a maternal cell in my body."

"You say that now, but then you carry the miracle and hold it in yours arms, all those doubts will melt away." She smiles as she glances to a picture on the counter. Lawrence and Cedella hold their three-year-old twins June and Miles. Since Lawrence is a vampire they had the human friend help them out and loved the twins to bits. Looking at that picture made her miss her parents, taunting her that she has no one in this world who loves her.
