Chapter 3

The next day Ally woke up with the best feeling in the world. She put on an orange and white dress with a chevron pattern. Next, she did her hair in a fishtail braid. After she finished getting ready for the day she ran downstairs. Mia was sitting there waiting for Ally to arrive. She knew that her lesson didn't start until 11:00, but just like Ally she came early to everything. To be on time was to be late in her mind. It was only 10:30 and she was sitting in a chair reading a book. Since Ally was ready she called Mia over and took her upstairs. She began Mia's lesson with basic warm ups. She wanted to get everything done as soon as possible so she would have extra time to prepare for her mom coming.

After Mia finished her lesson she left and Ally went down stairs to hang the banner. The banner said,"Welcome Home mom!" After she had hung the banner she started decided to put up streamers. While she was hanging the streamers she heard Austin and Dez arguing. This was very unusual. Austin and Dez were best friends never argued about anything. They did everything together and were very alike. This left Ally shocked. She had never even imagined them fighting over anything. It was 12:00 and Ally's mom was supposed to arrive at 2:00, so Trish decided to take Ally out to lunch. Of course Ally had to pay for it, but this time Trish decided she would pay for herself. Not for Ally, but for herself.

Was this Opposite Day?! Austin and Dez were fighting and Trish was paying for her own lunch. This felt like a dream. Ally felt like she would wake up and realize she had missed her mom's arrival, although she really hoped that wasn't the case because she was way too excited for her mom coming to just fall asleep and miss it. Yet, this just didn't seem realistic. Ally sat down with Trish for lunch. She decided she would ask Trish if she knew anything about Austin and Dez's arguing. This was Trish's reply," uuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,noooooooooooooo,'' Then, she ran into a small tiki hut. Ally decided that Trish definitely knew what was going on, but obviously didn't want Ally to know. What secret could possibly be that bad? Ally and Trish were best friends. They told each other everything. For Trish to not tell Ally something meant that it was either terribly bad or that she caused some kind of huge mess. She hadn't seen or heard of a huge mess, yet she still hoped that's what had happened. She decided to look at the clues. First, she noticed Austin and Dez arguing, which has never happened before. She assumed this meant either they were talking about who to blame the mess on or arguing about what to do about the thing that was terribly bad. Next, Trish bought her own lunch. This meant either that Trish felt really sorry for Ally based on something that had happened or that she wanted to cover something up by being super nice to Ally, in her own unique way. Finally, when Ally tried to bring it up Trish tried to think up a cover but had a bit of trouble and ran off. This meant that Trish was trying to cover something bad up. What was going on?
