I'm honestly at a loss for words right now. George devalier has had me at a loss for words many times.

I have only read one other of his works, Auf Wiedersehen Sweetheart. Walking into this story, I expected it to be some, what like AWS.

See, AWS was elegant, sophisticated, long, emotional, and beautiful. It was very elegant, as I previously stated. I bought La Patisserie De La Rose would have the same elegance, but boy oh boy, was I wrong.

His story was irreverent and very, very sexual. It had jokes all the way through, but now like AWS. AWS had sophisticated and somewhat mature, realistic humour, at times. This story had irreverent, sexual, somewhat immature humour.

it was, yes, sexual. it was elegant, in an odd sort of way, but not at all the same elegance as AWS.

even though it was immature at parts, it was still very mature and rave full, in a way. there was real love, passion, and struggle. a dull, grey life suddenly bursting with color with love. that was what this story was about.

I'm sure this will remain my favorite, even after I finish all of his goddamned works. not because I ship franada the most, but beaches this was the most beautiful, in this twisted way. it was elegant yet so, so messy. and I love it.

thank you so, so much for this, George devalier.

thank you.
