Daisy POV

"Mum. Dad." I blurted out, folding my hands over my face while quickly spinning around. My body collided with Blaise, who obviously laughed loudly.

"You are early." dad grumbled, pulling his shirt over his head.

"Twenty minutes too early." mum added, smoothing down her skirt and slowly getting up from the couch.

"And you are too old for that!" I stated, slowly peeling my hands from my face. "Daisy, first of all one is never to old for some fun and secondly, we are not old and thirdly, it is how you were made. You wouldn't be here without it."
Standing next to dad, mum eagerly nodded her head. I simply rolled my eyes, before chuckling under my breath. Gods, these two—my parents.

"They have a point." Blaise added, nudging me with his elbow while winking at me. I bit down on my lip, trying to avoid the huge grin from spreading over my face. Godrick, I was so nervous, but I did know mum and dad could only react in a positive way about what we were going to tell them.

"No worries, we are by the way not trying for another child. Just fun." mum beamed at dad who mirrored her grin.
"Information I really did not need, mum." I chuckled, slinging my arm around my mother's shoulder and pulling her to my chest. "I missed you."

"I missed you, too, Daisy-dear."

The four of us made our way over to the kitchen when I asked where Oscar was. The answer was taken from me when the front door opened and a warm summer breeze blew in, carrying along with it the smell of dry grass and wheat. My little brother appeared on the threshold, a Bowtruckle sitting on his left shoulder and a glass filled with water and....something sitting inside it in his hand.

"Oi, Dais, Blaise." he greeted, waddling over to us, getting on his tiptoes and kissing my cheek. Well, no. I quickly reached my hands forward and folded him into my arms. I chuckled into his shoulder when hugging him tightly, "Oscar!" I did not mind the Bowtruckle climbing onto my arm or the thing he held in his glass jar, I just wanted to hug my little brother who I hadn't seen in quite some time. After I let go of him Blaise and him made some special handshake, both of them grinning like fools. For Blaise Oscar had somehow become a little brother as well and I loved that they got along so well.

Then Oscar nearly bursted with excitement of what he had found and needed to show us immediately. "Baby Kelpie. Was lost in the pond in the forest. We gotta raise him and set him free once he is matured."

Her mouth gaping and eyes going wide mum hurdled to him, crouching down on the ground and immediately examineing the Kelpie. I smiled at my brother, thinking about him going to Hogwarts in a few days. It was crazy that he was already eleven. His Bowtruckle tugged on a strand of my hair before wrapping its limbs around it and swinging on it in front of my face. I laughed loudly, catching the tiny green thingy in my palm. It grinned up at me, hoping from one foot to the other. Blaise's breath tickled my ear when he leaned ovet my shoulder to glimpse at the Bowtruckle, sniggering.

"Alright when these two are done geeking we can have lunch." dad chuckled, shaking his head at his son and wife. Mum poked her tongue out at him, taking the jar from Oscar's hands and staring into it. "We are definitely going to raise this little baby, Sirius. Oscar will be gone in a week, but we are going to take care of the kelpie. You will be the one to teach it how to swim."

"Brilliant." dad flashed us a tight-lipped grin before we all started laughing. Yeah, mum still had dad wrapped around her finger like probably since the very first day.

Mum placed the glass jar on a top shelf, used her magic to deck the table and then let the food fly out as well. In just a few seconds there were at least five courses and all sorts of dishes and beverages displayed on the table. We wasted no moment before sitting down, thanking mum and digging in. Yeah, mum was the best cook in the whole world and would forever be.

When dinner was done it was finally done for the big news. Anticipation and excitement bubbled inside of me when I reached into my bag with trembling fingers. I pulled out two boxes.

"Presents?" Oscar asked, grinning at us.

"Nearly. Your birthday was only a few months ago, little brother." I handed out the boxes, telling them to not open them immediately. Dad's brows kicked up and he gave me a questioning look when mum asked, "To what do we deserve that?"

I shrugged my shoulders, smiling brightly. Blaise clasped my hand in his and grinned, waiting for my family to open the boxes. Then all of them started to pull on the bows and open their boxes.

"Huh?" Oscar whispered, examining the piece of fabric inside. He looked over at mum who read what it said on her piece of fabric.

"Best parents but even better grandparents."

Her voice was barely above a whisper. But she was the first one to get it. Tears bursted out of her eyes when she jumped up, pushed her chair back and hurdled over to me. She folded me into her arms, pressing me close to her and sobbed into my shoulder.
"You are pregnant. My little baby is having a baby. Oh Godrick, I cannot believe it. I am going to be a granny. Oh, Daisy, congratulations." I held her shaking figure tightly, tears also streaming out of my eyes. In the corner of my eye I watched dad embrace Blaise in his arms, patting his shoulder. "Congratulations." he stated, and I was sure his lashes dampened as well.

"I am going to be an uncle!" Oscar expressed behind us and mum slowly let go of me so Oscar could wrap his arms around me. "There is really a baby in there?" he questioned when he stared at my belly. I bowed my head, grinning at him with tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Wicked!"

"Oh, Blaise, I am so happy. Congratulations." mum then cheered, dashing to my husband and nearly squeezing the air out of his lungs with how tightly she hugged him. He chuckled, hugging her back and telling her how happy he was. With Oscar still hugging me, dad also embraced me into his arms from the side. "I cannot believe it. You were always my little girl and now you are expecting your own child. I am so proud of you, you cannot believe it. And so happy, although I am not even fifty yet and you made me a grandfather."

Sniffling, I tipped my head back, meeting my father's gaze and grinned at him. "I am so happy as well. And I am sorry, but at least you are a fresh and yound grandpa." I expressed, brushing my hand over Oscar's head who softly poked his index finger into my belly, crunching his nose. "And it was planned not like Oscar and me." I added with a wink.

"And you two are the best things that happened to us, planned or not doesn't matter." mum quickly answered, showing me a big and honest smile and I knew she meant it, I had only wanted to tease her.

"You are the best family, but you know that anyways." I whispered into the room, reaching out and clasping her hand in mine.

"A family which soon will have another member. A tiny little human. Ooh, I will look for your old things and start knitting." I smiled at mum, a tear making its way down her cheek again when her gaze met mine.

Life was good. Life was fine. Our family —the Nobel House of Black— really was the best family one could hope for although one might not have so thought some fifty years ago. But now it truly was the best and greatest family in all of Britain and I couldn't be any more proud to be a part of.
