~summer after Daisy's graduation~

Daisy POV

"I don't like that you are moving out." mum whined, lifting a box over her head and stuffing it into a shelf. Snickering, I turned towards her. "Mum. You know you can aparate and can come here any minute when you miss me? And it is not forever, you know?"

Mum released a sigh, bracing her hands on her hips. "I know, I know. Still my little baby is going to leave me and this is not...cool." I rolled my eyes at the nickname before chuckling loudly at her.

Were we going to have a shared flat here? Oh yes, we totally were. Lucas, Josy and Josy's girlfriend Sue and obviously I were moving in here to go to university in London. Blaise whenever he had time to stay in London would also live here. But at lot —an extra stress should be put on a lot— needed to be done here in order to make it livable for us.

"Kitchen I have completely cleaned and the dining room is also finally clean, by the way." mum then declared, happily clapping her hands. I grinned at her, watching her toss a wet cloth over her shoulder and head towards the door. "Mum, you really don't have to do so much."
"I do. My baby is moving in her own flat, this is the least I could do." With that she was gone, storming Godrick knows where.

When I felt something soft brush against my legs I peeked down and saw a fluffy ball of white fur. Waffle was also moving with us, of course. The cat purred when I leaned down and scraped his head and softly behind the ears. I could not imagine leaving him at him and dad was also rather happy to have gotten rid of him—they never really got along.

Now the lower grounds were done and it was time to continue with the rooms upstairs. I picked up Waffle, placed him on my shoulder and decided to finally head upstairs. Those stairs would be my end but I couldn't be more grateful to be able to move in here—that dad allowed it and gave me this place. Yes, he gifted me the place which still drew tears to my eyes.

Carefully, I pulled down the door handle and pushed the old, croaky door open. I was hit with a dimly lit room and the smell of dust. But overall the room looked nice—was cleaned just some years ago and—

"Daaaaaaad!"

My shout hollowed through the whole building, probably even rattling awake my terribly grandmother.

Just a second later both mum and dad came hurdling upstairs and towards where I stood, probably thinking I had been stabbed or something.

"What is it?" dad expressed once he reached me, his brow kicking up. His features carried something like reprimanding within them, since I obviously was well and had not been stabbed. Mum came to a halt next to him, bracing her hands on her hips, panting loudly and letting her eyes trail over me.

"Why are there half-naked girls on the walls in your former room?"

To that a laugh bursted out of both mum and dad's mouth, the former clutching her waist and the latter grimacing.

"I was a young and stupid teenager." Was my father's answers when he clasped my shoulder tightly in his hand and I squealed. Glimpsing at him over my shoulder, I arched a brow. "Hopefully before you met mum."

"My dear daughter, I moved out at sixteen and only later started dating your mother...so yes, before I had met your beautiful mother. Otherwise pictures of her would be hung up here."

That was I truly happy about and also about not having to see pictures of my mother sitting on a motorbike in just flimsy lingerie.

Alerted my by my shout, also Josy stepped up beside mum, grinning and examining the pictures.

"Your dad the rebel!" my best friend snickered. I chuckled at her remark, already planning how I would paint over those pictures. When she turned on her heel, she quickly examined mum and dad and released a breath. "Godrick, I believe you have been such a cool couple in your Hogwarts years." Mum looked slightly startled, before giving Josy a huge grin. Dad wrapped an arm around my mother's waist and kissed her temple. "If I remember correctly, we definitely were."

I sniggered, stepping fully into the room, my mind wandering of to what I would do to this room and what I would change about it. Maybe I would leave all the Gryffindor banners and colours in here just to annoy Blaise a little bit.

"That will Blaise's room?"

I glimpsed over my shoulder, watching mum disappear downstairs again while dad followed me into the room.

"Yes, Blaise's and my room." I told my dad, a smile on my lips. He simply rolled his eyes, before bending down, picking up the rolled up carpet and tossing it over his shoulder. It was only partly true—Blaise would obviously also have his own room, we needed our privacy from time to time so he would get Regulus old room.

"Dad?" I stopped my dad from leaving the room and he slowly turned around, once again arching a brow. "Thank you. Thank you for giving me this place. For giving us this place. Thank you for helping us clean and," —with quick steps I walked up to him and flung my arms around him— "just thank you. I know it is not easy for you to be here, so I honour this greatly. You truly are the best dad, you know?"

He chuckled, his hand brushing over my hair. "I know." To that I laughed and slowly pulled back, meeting his gaze. His smile was honest and genuine.

"There is nothing to thank me for, Daisy. It is the least I could do and I'm glad this place will finally see some happiness and light." Smiling I bowed my head, inhaling deeply.

"How bad will it be for mum that I move out?" I then asked, honestly interested.

"Terribly bad, but she will come around to it. But, I have to warn you, she will come here probably every day. On her way home from work." Dad chuckled lowly, winking at me. I kind of had a feeling she really would.

"But....your mother moved in with me after graduating from Hogwarts so...she can't really blame you for making the same decision."

I grinned. "Right."

Picking up a dusty chair which I was not going to keep, I followed dad downstairs, him still carrying the huge carpet.

"Daughter of Bloodtraitors." I stuck out my tongue, directing it at the painting of my wonderful grandmother. Bloodtraitor daughter.

This really was the only negative and annoying part about this place, that we could not remove her and she had to stay with us. But with the curtain draped over her it would be doable.

When I came downstairs I once again found my mother, leaning against the wall and drooling over my father who carried the carpet and walked past her. "Stop looking so good, my husband." she drawled, brushing her fingers over his arm and then disappearing in to the kitchen. I giggled to myself because of my silly parents.

Later also Blaise joined us, helping us get more things out of the house. Then Sue and Lucas showed up and we celebrated that Lucas had been accepted at the university he wanted to go to since he was eight. Mum and dad stayed over night and also Oscar mum had picked up ealier.
