Daisy POV
"And up!"
I pushed myself up on my hands, groaning loudly when cool air blazed down my throat.
"And down!"
Lowering, my elbows shook, seemingly turning into jelly.
"That's it. Grab you brooms and let's go. Go. Go. Go!"Ginny commanded. A face was probably covered in sweat when my trembling hand grabbed my broom and I waddled towards our team captain. "Please, slow down a bit. You can talk to me if you're not doing well." I mumbled when I had reached her. Ginny was terribly tense and mood—Harry hadn't sent a Patronus message in two weeks. I was stressed as hell as well...
"I am doing fine. Now: Broom and get going!" Ginny snapped, her lower lip quavering and her eyes glistening.
Groaning, I did exactly as told. We practiced for hours and it was at least some time where we could forget the war and everything that was happening around. I also for a a few hours did not have to think about my parents and what Order missions that were probably currently on.
"Oi, it's our practice time now. Get off our pitch!"
Lowering my gaze, I blew out air through my nose.
Team captain Uquahrt followed by Pukey, Goyle, Zabini, Crabbe and Vaisey were sauntering onto the Quidditch pitch where we were currently training. Obviously...
Lowering myself to the ground, I dismounted my broom and neared a fuming and nearly boiling Ginny with fast steps. "We are training right now!" she snarled, when Uquahrt took another step closer to her.
"Not anymore. We are training now! Go back to crying after baby Potter." he sneered, earning himself roars of laughter from his Slytherin gang.
Ginny opened her mouth to protest when Malcom linked his arms with both Ginny's and mine. "Let them train. It is anyways useless with this gits." He had a point.
Rolling my eyes, I reluctantly dipped my chin. For a moment Blaise's gaze drifted towards were our arms were linked, but I could also have been wrong.
"Dare call me a git again, Burkley, and I will hand you your ass." Uquahrt growled, baring his teeth. Malcom simple shook his head, chuckling as an answer before pulling both Ginny and I away with him.
Cursing under their breaths and groaning loudly the whole Gryffindor Quidditch team made their way back to the castle. At some point Ginny had pushed Malcom away and now solely waddled back to the Gryffindor room. I also slowly tried to move away from Malcom, whose gaze met mine for a brief second.
"Hey, so I was thinking. We went to this date a year ago, right? Are you sure you don't want to go on another one?" Clamping my mouth shut, I tried to find a good reason for why not....
"Erm, I am really sorry, but—"
"We also could keep it super simple," he leaned closer, "your dorm room? My dorm room?"
Holy Helga? What was going on with the Hogwarts boys lately? Could they only be horny anymore?
"Nope, sorry. I like you as a friend and a friend only." I quickly told him, removing my arm from his hold and stalking after Ginny who already had walked through the painting.
When entering the common room I found her curled to a ball on the couch opposite to the fireplace.
I placed my hand on her shoulder, sighing deeply and suddenly having an idea.
"Stay here, Gin. I have an idea."
And with that I turned on my heel and quickly made my way out of the common room again which earned me quite weird looks from some of my team mates who were just entering.
