Daryl Dixon POV

I searched through the house on high alert, I didn't trust these people. I approached a closed door, reaching at the handle, clenching my knife. I swiftly swung it open, revealing nothing but a bed and dresser.

Beth was in the bathroom, she had been in there for at least an hour, ok maybe not an hour.

I lightly tapped on the door, she mumbled something from the inside. I walked away and continued searching the house. After checking all the rooms I saw Beth laying on the bed.

"I'm going to cut it."

I looked at her with a smile, but it was fake. I loved how her blonde hair fell onto her back, and how she quickly threw it in a pony tail when walkers were coming.

Soon, it was gone. But I didn't feel the same as I had. Her hair now framed her face and highlighted her features. She looked stunning, I couldn't resist the urge to kiss her.

"It's so great I could just.."

"Kiss me?" I said looking into her gorgeous eyes.

"Yes, kiss you."

She planted a sweet kiss onto my lips, it was like someone had stroke a match, a fire was lit.

"Do you think we should still go to the meeting?" She asked, I loved the way her country girl accent enclosed her words.

"We should just stay here, I wonder if they have anything to do"

I grabbed her arms and lifted her onto my back so we could go down stairs.

"We really need to fix that tomorrow." I said chuckling.

"I don't know, I kinda like being carried around everywhere!" She said laughing back.

I set her down on the couch and looked around for a game or anything to do. I saw a flash of color and peeked inside the dusty cabinet.

"Beth! Look!" I lifted the game, it was some old board game.

We played it until Beth got sleepy, I lifted her up the stairs and layed her on a bed. I kissed her forehead and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind me.

The group started to arrive, they all looked very tired.

"How was the stupid meeting?" I asked

"It wasn't that bad, it was just people talking about their selves and crap like that." Rick said.

They all immediately headed to bed. There wasn't enough beds so some people slept on the couch, or on blankets on the floor.

I too soon found my eyes tiring, and went upstairs to grab something to sleep on. The bathroom door was closed but a light of a candle shone through. I ignored it at first, but then I heard gagging noises.

I lightly tapped the door, "Hello? Are you ok in there?" I said.

A woman's voice called out "Uh, ya don't worry about me." She said, followed by more gagging.

I opened the door slightly to see Maggie over the toilet throwing up.

"Mag! What happened?"

She looked up from the toilet, with tears in her eyes.

"I don't know, I just feel sick."

I ran down stairs, digging through the kitchen. I found some water bottles and rushed them back up to Maggie.

"Let me look for medicine."

This time I ran down the stairs and a figure was shown through the glass in the door. I stopped instantly in my tracks. I slowly approached the door, grabbing the handle.

But by the time the door opened, it was gone. I closed it slowly, locking it before continuing into the kitchen.

I opened a dusty cabinet, it only had a can of some food and a bottle of medicine. I took out the bottle and tried to read it with the small light the candle gave off.

'Acetaminophen'

"Hmm, seems legit." I said to myself, I ran back up the stairs and handed them to Maggie. She lifted her head to read.

"Hopefully these help."she said swallowing the pills. She lifted her head and grabbed the trash can.

"Thanks for the help." She said with a weak smile.

"Anytime Mags." I said, as she disappeared into a room. The house was now filled with complete silence.

I walked into the bathroom, starting the tub.

After I washed off, I felt so much better. All the dirt and blood was washed away. I stepped out in the hallway, and searched the drawers in Beth's room and found a pair of sweatpants and a shirt. I threw it on, the comfy material covering my body. Then I crawled into the bed next to Beth. I felt myself falling asleep.

I awoke by Beth getting out of bed.

"Hello beautiful." I said smiling at the sight of her.

"Hello love." She said back to me, and for a moment life was normal. I got out of bed and helped Beth down the stairs. Everyone was up, and doing something.

"Wow, look at bad boy Daryl in his Pj's." Carol said, laughing at me.

I smiled at her, and then heard a knock at the door. Rick quickly went to answer it.

A man walked inside the house. "Hello everyone, I am Dr. Philips, I heard someone needed some medical attention."

"Is it you dear?" He asked pointing at Beth.

"Uh, yes, my ankle." She said softly.

"We can fix that right up." He said kneeing down to her. He examined her leg and then pulled a bandage wrap from a bag.

"Here, wrap this around your ankle for a week, it's just sprained, nothing too serious."

She smiled at him.

"Anyone else before I leave?"

Maggie quietly let out a yes.

The Dr. Took her into another room, as she requested she tell him in private.

No One thought anything of it, soon she came back. The doctor had a worried look on his face.

"Thank you for your time, call me if you need anything!" He said, leaving the house.

Maggie sat down with a blank expression.

"So what is it dear?" Glenn said, grabbing her hand.

"I- I'm- turning."
