Savior (Golden Guard x Reader)

The Aftermath

As you crossed through the clearing you saw The Golden Guard being tightly held by one of the creatures hand, struggling to break free.

His staff lay a few feet away on the ground from where he was. You decided to help the defenseless boy.

You made a spell that blasted the creatures head. The creature screeched in annoyance and threw the boy into a nearby tree. All the attention was on you now

As The Golden Guard hit the tree he yelped in pain slouching as he held his chest.

As the creature was facing towards you it screamed and charged for you. You drew a circle with the tip of your finger and pushed it towards the creature.

As it screamed in pain you slid to the other side of the creature and made an illusion of pure darkness. You sorta blended into the darkness making it hard for the creature to see you.

As the creature banged and whipped around to be rid of the darkness, you were blasting numerous spells at it.

As you were dodging and firing blasts as the creature you were suddenly hit by a force and flew backwards with the illusion fading away.

You had sweat dripping down your head since illusions took more energy and made you run quickly out of it.

As you struggled to get up, the monster threw its arms towards you. Its arms squeezing your arms to your sides.

You heard a cracking nosie and realized that your palisman was still in your hand, you struggled to get free to tend to the palisman.

In a flash a blast was shot at the creatures head, you were then dropped from the creatures grasp.

You looked over at The Golden Guard, he held his staff in his hand while being on his stomach. He was in no condition to fight, so you combined the ice and fire glyph to make a mist so that it would be harder for the creature to find him.

You ran back into the woods, your palisman changing back, you notice the crack around his eye going up the skull.

"Well looks like I can't use you until I get that fixed, sorry buddy" you say gently rubbing his head.

You the decided to go with glyph magic. It didn't really require energy to conduct.

You ran to a nearby tree and carved a light glyph into it and just a little further away you made an ice glyph.

You slowly jogged back to the creature again whipping and banging around through the forest.

You made a circle and fired a spell at the creature purposely missing the creatures head hoping to gets its attention.

Its head whipped up to you, you turned and ran into the forest, with the creature following close behind. Your body struggling to keep running as energy slowly drained from your body.

While the creature was chasing you, you came closer to tree with the glyph you reached a hand out to touch it.

As you touched it, blinding the creature you ran around the tree it was on to the ice glyph.

You waited for it to back onto the spell as it continued to struggle to regain its vision, it was fully on the glyph now.

You reached your hands up and brought them down fast on the glyph causing it to shoot the creature high into the sky.

It yelped in pain one last time and flew off accepting defeat.

As the creature fled you walked back to The Golden Guard and held your hand out to help him up.

He took it and once he was up he walked away.

You decided to follow him.

"Um.... You're welcome" you say felling fatigue
"For what?" The Golden Guard said while still holding his side
"I just saved your goddammit life, even though I could've ran and leave you to die, so I think the least I deserve is a 'thank you'"
"Thank you" He said sarcastically
"Yeah, no problem!"

You both look away from each other but then the little bird came and landed on The Golden Guards shoulder.

"Hey!" He said stopping to shake off the bird, you stopped to watch.

The bird just responded by rubbing his cheek on his shoe.

"Stop, get away from me" he said scooting farther away.

"He's just being friendly, Goldie"
"I don't care, these things are made from wild magic. It's dangerous."
"And do they seem dangerous to you?"

You both look at the little bird and your palisman in front of the both of you, then The Golden Guard composed himself and said

"Now, come on were getting side tracked im still taking you to the castle"

"Okay first of all since I saved your life I think its fair of you let me go, and secondly can you really get me there with your condition?"

"You're a wanted criminal" he stated
"Well so is The Owl Lady and I don't see you going after her"
"You're more important"
"The Owl Lady is the strongest witch in all the isles and I'm more important?"
"I was never given a reason why"

He continued onto Latissa but you stood where you were since you had your palisman now you walked back into the forest to find a area to go home.

The Golden Guard realized you weren't following and ran into the forest trying to find where you were.

As you finished the last part of the spell, The Golden Guard came into sight.

You touched the spell and yelled

"Byeeeeeee!" Leaving him to watch as you were teleported into the sky.
