Any sport in a storm

A/N this chapter was kinda rushed to get this out since I was procrastinating this entire week. But this chapter follows the base of the episode Any sport in a storm with you replacing Skara with Gus and Willow scenes.

As you walked outside you saw how many group booths there were. You walked through many different booths and saw the only one that piqued your interest.

As you got closer you saw a girl who looked younger than you wearing the plant track as well as another kid a male with the illusion track.

Walking towards her you heard her say

"Let out your inner flier freak. Once the flier derby club is approved, we'll travel all across the isles in rockin outfits and working as a team"
"Good luck with that" you saw a smaller man being held up by an abomination
"Professor Homunculus?"

Homunculus? What kind of name is Homunculus you thought

"I'm overseeing club approvals this year and I just don't think flier derby is worth investing in" he explained
"Just because it's not ad well known as grudgby doesn't mean-"
"You misunderstand me. I'm shutting it down, unless you step down as captain. I just don't think quitters make good leaders."

You felt angry on how this professor was treating this poor girl. Just then the boy spoke

"You're just mad that she dropped your class. Give her a chance"
"Okay, put together a team for a friendly game of flier derby after school . If you lead your team to victory, maybe I'll approve of your club" he informed while walking away

"I'll be willing to join your flier derby team. It seems like fun and I want tou to prove to him that you can lead it to victory."

"Thanks thats very sweet. But are you a new student, yes?" She asked
"Weird how we've never seen you around" the boy said

"Oh, my name is Y/N L/N and that because ive never been to a school before and my..... mother wanted me to come here."
"Well this is Gus Porter and I'm Willow Park, nice to meet you. Wait did you say that you've never been to a school before?" Willow asked
"I have when I was younger, but was taught magic at home by my mother,"
"Well then would you like to join my flier derby team?" Willow offered handing you a pamphlet about the team.

"Sure, none of the other groups I've checked looked interesting. If you need help spreading the word let me know" you say

"I could use help would you do that. But you will need a palisman by the way"

You were suddenly reminded by something

"Y/N you need to find somehow or someone who knows how to get to Raine even if it means sneaking into the castle" Galleria stated
"Well I think it would be more dangerous if I went there, so maybe I'll send Aspen there to seek anything out and see if I can get in contact with Raine" you explain

"Aspen is a very sneaky palisman. Its been here in The Forbidden Forest longer than most and went completely unnoticed as it went around stealing from others. So I think that's a good idea. Aspen will sneak into the castle and find a info,"
"Think you're up for the job, buddy?"
Aspen agreed almost immediately

With that Aspen has been in the castle learning information about Belos's plans and how to come in contact with Raine.

"I do have a palismam,"
"Then were is it?" Gus says skeptically
"I left him at home mostly because I didn't know of Hexside allowed palisman or if people my age had them" you explain
"Take it easy Gus, they seemed like a good person of theybare willing to help me." Willow voiced

{Time Skip}

Its almost the end of the day with helping Willow and Gus getting people to join. Willow, Gus and you have become friends with this. Through this Willow has found another new kid . His hair was very blonde with a scar on his right cheek with a notch on his left ear trying to show everyone his skills on his palisman.

You heard Willow say

"this Caleb guy is great, with him on the team we can get our flier derby team approved"

So his name is Caleb and for some reason his name sounded familiar you thought while handing pamphlets out to those who were interested.

You looked up at him. He looked like he was saying something but you couldn't make it out. Then Willow told him to come down to introduced her team. As he landed she said

"Allow me to introduced you to the best and the brightest of Hexside.

You were looking at flier derby strategies but then Viney's Griffen started acting up, so you decided to help her.

Upon seeing this, Caleb seemed dissatisfied and walked away. Willow told us to meet up at the field as Gus and Viney walked away you followed Willow.

As you turned the corner on where you saw them leave you heard Caleb say
"You said you find the best witches for the team, but them. They're pathetic."
"Dude, you just met us, give us a chance" you say
"Over, where I come from even chances have to be earned."
"I know what that feels like, when I was younger I have to prove to people that I can do magic since I couldn't back then. Don't be quick to judge."
"Sorry captain, Y/N, good luck with your match"

You and Willow took a glance at each other and smiled. Willow teleported Caleb with plant magic while you held your hand out for your palisman. It took him longer to come back to you and once he did. He changed back and stood on your shoulder and told you the info he learned from the castle. He learned that Raine was being heavily observed by Terra and was barely managing to get around her all while secretly working with Darius to figure out Belos's plan.

Now all you needed to do was come in contact with them to work together. You had just the plan and that included getting captured.
