Savior (Golden Guard x Reader)

The match

A/N: sorry for being late with this chapter. I was sick and didn't feel well enough to do anything. After many days of "torture" I finished this chapter.

"Finally, I got Puddles down for a nap" Viney said, covered in scratches and then healed herself.

As you came closer to the field you came up with a idea, you stood on your palisman and then jumped up into the air and then landed back down onto your palisman.

As you landed Caleb seemed impressed with your strategy and told you.

"Wow, I didn't know you could do that, that was cool" he kinda muttered that last part
"I'm sorry, what was that?" You said with a smirk
"I said it was cool!"
"Good to know"

Just then Willow came through the ground and explained to Caleb.

"Gus is a natural speed demon, Y/N is a strategic wizard from what I've seen and Viney is the best healer of school. In one point or another we've all been misjudged, so still think we're pathetic. Willow said as she came to stand beside us.

Caleb just shyly shook his head.

"Good, let's get our game faces on" she said while painting her face with green paint and gave everyone the uniform

You painted a star over your right eye, as you finished up Caleb came over to you.

"Uh, Y/N right?"
"Hmm? Yes" you say looking at him
"Do you..... think you can help me with the paint? My hands are a bit shaky"
"Sure, any ideas you have" he gave you the brush and told you what he wanted
"A thunderbolt down my face"

As you were painting his face you pondered about his scar and decided to ask him about it.

"Hey, weird question but how did you get this" you unconsciously grazed your finger across it
"Oh, um....." Caleb seemed a bit uncomfortable and embarrassed
"You dont have to tell me if you're uncomfortable. 8 was just curious"
"No! Its not that, I just never had anyone question on how I got it. I got it from, uhh..... from a spell accident"
"I see, those aren't fun to deal with" you say finishing up and placed the brush back
"What happened to your eye?" He wondered
"Oh...... the...... same thing. I was training and something went wrong and made me kinda blind in this eye, hence the eyepatch." You lie hoping he would believe you

"Hey guys, its almost time to start," you both heard Willow shout
"Well looks like its time" you got up and started walking back, and soon realized that Caleb wasn't beside you. You looked back and saw him deep in thought.

"Caleb. You coming?"
"Huh? Uh yeah give me a second, I have to do something first"

You shrugged and walked toward the team.

"Is Caleb coming?" Willow asked
"Yeah, he said he had something to do first, so just give him a moment" you explain

Just then the other team showed up with the old bozo as the captain.
Willow shouted to Caleb.
"Caleb, waiting on you buddy" he looked towards you and came running over.

You all lined up for the match on your palismans.
"All we gotta do, is fly high and snatch some flags" Willow said as you all nodded
"Let's see what you can do, Captain" said Professor Homunculus

An abomination blew the whistle to start the match. Immediately the professor shot abomination goo out towards Willow. Viney read this and protected Willow with a shield spell. Everyone started maneuvering around each other.

Caleb teleported behind someone and took their flag and made a u-turn and gave the flag to Gus to put on the beam.

"Gus, that was amazing" you heard Caleb say and also heard Gus giggle.

You Viney and someone on the opposite team dive at each other which made them collide into each other making their palisman to fling away.

You, Willow, and Gus ride towards the other team firing abomination goo at all of you. You and Gus changed Positions with you going on top and Gus going below Willow.

"Shes right there, can't you see!" Professor Homunculus snapped.
Caleb teleported beside him scaring him by his sudden appearance and taking the flag.

A player shot goo towards you, you got into a standing position and jumped up to dodge the goo and made a circle of magic which made a hand come out of the ground to cover your team. Willow used her plant magic to make vines to pretend to grab at the players scaring them.

As the other team was scared you came down grabbing their flags of the opposing team an landed back onto your palisman.

As you landed back onto your palisman a strand of abomination knocked you off your palisman.

"Opps, my hand slipped" Homunculus said causing both teams to get angry on his pettiness.

Caleb flew towards you and you handed both flags to him and said
"Go! Don't worry about me"
Aspen came to your rescue and made you land safely to the ground. Caleb looked towards you making him distracted and Gus pushed him telling him to move as Gus got knocked out of the sky.

Caleb raced towards the beam and placed the flags onto it and gave the team a win. As Caleb landed, Viney poured a red liquid on him as you all cheered.

"May I have your team name" Homunculus requested
"Shoot, we never thought of a name" Willow said
"The Emerald Entrails. You know where green, and there's more to us then we think." Caleb chimed in
"Entrails, Entrails, Entrails" you all cheered

As we stopped Willow decided we should take a picture to rember this.
As Caleb looked at the picture he stated.
"I can't believe I almost bailed on you guys, it was amazing. Thanks for giving me a second shot."
"Always nice to make a new friend, i had one open" Viney said while looking to someone from the sidelines
"We wouldn't have gotten here without you" you claimed
"Yeah I shouldn't have been so suspicious" Gus informed

"Pfft, you can forget all about that when we play next time. As part of the Emperors Coven"
"The WHAT!?" Both you and Gus said
"My name isn't Caleb, its Hunter. And I'm the Emperor's right hand man. The Golden Guard."
"You can't be serious, you're not the one I fou-.... heard about, right?" You trembled
"Yes, I am," he nodded to his palisman and changed into The Golden Guardwithout the cape. You all gasped and Emperor Coven soldiers surrounded you and your friends.
