You, Eda, Luz, and King went down stairs to the door, there was another knock on the door
You and Eda readied your staffs, Hooty was ready to headbutt someone, King held one of his stuffed animals, and Luz grabbed a nearby chair
Eda snuck over to the door and grabbed the handle
All of you ready to hurt the person on the other side of the door
As Eda opened the door, all of you tensed up and ready to pounce
However, It was the last person you expected to see
“Eiran!” you yelled
Hooty impulsively ramped his head into Eiran,
Causing Eiran to fly back a few feet
“Hooty!” you and Eda yelled angrily
You rushed over to Eiran helping him to his feet
“Gosh, I forgot how much the thing can hurt” He said weakly
“Are you okay?” you question
“Yeah, I'm managing, might have a few factures but..”
You hug Erian as Aspen jumped onto his shoulder and rubbed his cheek
“My question is are you okay?” He returned your hug as he looked at your injuries
“Im managing but so far i'm fine” You say
Eiran only chuckled
“Good, Eda thanks for helping them” He continues
“If i knew this was your kid, I would've treat them like my own” Eda answered
“Wait? How… do you two know each other” you questioned
“Raine” They both said
You and Luz looked puzzled. What did Raine have to do with them meeting
Eiran pulled up his sleeve to show a bard sigil
“A Sigil? Eiran, since when did you have a sigil?” You said
“I was the head witch in the Bard Coven before I passed it onto Raine. I never told you since I didn't want to worry you, I know you don't like Covens but I was too afraid not to join one because of what might happen.” Eiran explained
"Eiran shared his concerns about Belos with Raine and introduced him to me”
“But how did you end up at The Forbidden Forest?” You spoke out
“Zander. I never liked Belos nor his plans so I retired from being a head witch and I wanted to settle down with my family. I wanted to protect them from belos.”
"Well that plan went south" Eda blurted
Eiran went quiet. You briefly knew that his daughter fought against Belos and... didn't win.
You tried breaking the tension
“But Raine, like, just recently became the head witch so… how did you pass it down without me knowing?”
“Well I think it was before she came here.” Eiran pointed toward Luz
“When you went out to get your...." Erian said but took a quick glance at Eda and Luz before continuing
"..Items I talked to Belos and told him I wanted to resigne, he agreed. Which was a shocker, but I needed to find a replacement fast"
"So he came to me, since I had a connection with Raine and knew about their whereabouts." Eda continued
"Okay makes sense but how did you two meet" Luz questioned
"Oh were old friends." Eiran answered
"You are?" You said shocked
"Yeah we met back in high-school, this one would constantly write poems and songs." Eda teased
Eirans face turned red but quickly composed himself
"Enough about the past I came here for a reason, and I don't think that you'll like it Y/N."
"I don't like anything you said in that sentence" You spoke
"I think you should stay in The Forbidden Forest." Eiran
"Why?"
"Well, the entire head covens are after you. And now Belos is after you, since he now knows I have a connection to you..." Eiran looked down at the ground putting a hand through his hair
Eiran took a deep breath before saying "I was thinking of just turning myself in"
“....what?" you said quietly clearly having a shocked expression
“Y/N-”
"How.. can you just turn yourself in.
"I just want to protect you Kiddo"
That line made your blood boil.
"Are.. you... kidding me Eiran! I'm so sick of hearing people say 'I want to protect you' or 'I need to be able to protect you.' I'm a strong Witch, hell I'm wanted by the entire emperors coven and I've never been captured. I think I can protect myself
"Actually-" Eiran started
"I know I was captured, I was just making a point"
"Still, you almost died Y/N and that says something about me as your parent" Eiran stated
"You aren't my dad Eiran. A father wouldn't turn themselves in, they would stick with them and fight side by side." You snapped
You turned and stormed up the stairs. As you came into the room you woke up in.
Aspen looked towards Eiran who crouched down and said
"Look out after them will you, you two have a special connection"
Aspen nodded and soon followed you upstairs.
You swished the hair covering your eye back. Keeping your hand in place.
Aspen jumped onto a chest and gave you a judgemental look.
"Ugh, don't look at me like that buddy. You know how I don't like feeling useless, you of all people should know that"
Aspen seemed taken aback by your words
You turned around to face the mirror looking at your eyes getting lost in thought
As you continued to looked in the mirror you suddenly heard a gasp from behind
