Raine Whispers

Food came around two hours ago, but you had no appetite to eat. You've been stuck in the smallest, most secured, separated, and not to mention stinkiest cell of all time. It's like something died here and they were cleaning it with animals remains and blood.

You've been pacing back and forth trying to think back to the plan that you agreed on with your friends.

"Alright getting into the castle and talking to Raine is the top priority" Galleria stated
"We could sneak in" Luci piqued
Three people sneaking into the castle trying to figure out Belos's plan, would get us caught immediately. So that's not an option." You announce
"We could send Aspen in" Luci said
"I don't know Luci, I mean he is a really sneaky palisman. If he gets caught ill lose him forever and I can't deal with that" you trembled thinking what could happen to Aspen

"He won't. He managed to steal from others back home and went completely unnoticed. So he seems like the best candidate."
What if I got captured instead?" You pondered
"NO!" Both of your friends protested
"Alright, jeez think you're up for the job buddy?"

"Not hungry?" You stopped pacing to look up and saw Hunter with a new tray of food.
"I'm literally on death row. You expect me to have an appetite when I'm counting down the days till I DIE"
"So no?" Does he not understand sarcasm?
"No I'm not hungry"
"I didn't come here just to give you food. I wanted to ask if you had any final requests before you.... y'know"
"Thanks again for the reminder, and I don't have a request"
"You sure, cause Belos is being generous by giving you a last request,"
"Belos.... Generous? Those are two words that don't go together"

Hunter became silent for a moment and said
"... whatever you say." He replaced your food and started to walk away.

You thought back to what you said to your friends and yelled back to him

"Wait!.... there is one request I want."

Hunter turned around giving you a look that said 'well what is it then

"My final request is hear a song, I really like listening to music and my guardian used to play for me when I was younger. Since Raine is the head witch I thought why not have them play me a song"
Hunter hesitated
"I don't know, Raine is really busy, it'll be hard for me to contact them."
"Just try for me please. I want to hear one last song"

Hunter nodded and left.

{Hunters POV}

As Hunter left The Wolf Lady cell he thought he saw true sadness and despair in their eyes.

He walked through the castle looking for Raine but no luck. He felt pity for The Wolf Lady, even though they were a wild witch but he couldn't shake the feeling that he knew them and wanted to make things right.

Without watching where he was going Hunter bumped right into Darius

Darius was holding a glass with some kind of liquid and almost spilled it when Hunter ran into him.

"What the! You almost ruined my- oh its you" Darius said as he spun around to face Hunter
"Darius I need your help"
"With what?"
"I need to find Raine, The Wolf Lady wanted to hear a song"
"Why Raine though?"
"I mean they are the head of the Bard Coven so it makes sense"
"Alright. I do know where Raine is, but I will be the one going with Raine to see The Wolf Lady"
"Why can't I come?" Hunter whined
"Because if something happens, I can handle it
"Hey! I beat them before"
"Doesn't mean you can beat them again" Darius revealed, walking away to find Raine

Hunter was left standing in the hall thinking about what Darius meant

{Y/N's POV}

After what felt like hours Raine came in accompanied by Darius.

"I hear you wanted to listen to a song?"
"Yes, and to talk... Alone" you glared at Darius as he walked towards the cell.
"I'll wait by the door"

"So what song do you want to listen to?"
"My guardian used to play me a song called Melody of Blue Roses"
"Gottcha, I know that one. My mentor taught me that one."

Raine started to play the room lighted up with magic and sound made you feel peace despite the condition you were in.

But you needed to stick to the plan.

"I heard from an alibi that you were planning something, and I want in."

Raine fumbled with the song, but quickly got back into the swing of things.

"I have no idea what you are talking about" Raine croaked giving you hope that they were planning something

"You bad a lying. And one of my soldiers saw you make a commotion put in Boneborough against Coven Soldiers. As well as taking a stand against him" you quickly glanced over at Darius
"You're what 16? And you have soldiers?"
"I'm not going to stop asking. Let me in on this."
"Fine! I do have a plan but I don't want to invole a child" Raine gave in
"I just want to live in a world where I'm not afraid of leaving hom wondering if I'm going to get captured and live with the people I care about. Don't you?" You thought of your friends, Eiran, Aspen.

Raine had a sad look on their face and agreed with you.

"Darius," Raine said
"Woah, did he hear everything?"
"Its alright he's on our side, but are you sure you want to do this?"
"I had my suspicions, but didn't really follow them."
"I find this whole Day of Unity junk suspicious. I'm willing to take on the risk."

You smiled underneath your mask at how these two coven heads are willing to risk everything.

"So how to deal with this?" You directed your attention to the cell
"We'll figure that out later, what I'm concerned about is how we will contact you once you escape. Cause I know you have a plan" Darius hypothesized
"I'll have my Palisman come in and you can write down the plans from the one of the two of you." You say with a smirk

"Alright we haven't figured out what going to happen but I didn't hear other head witches talking. We do however have a plan to enter Belos's mind and once you escape, you want to join?" Raine announced
"Of course,"

"Raine we have to leave now! If the other figure out what we were talking about here I don't want to find out" Darius's sounded panicked
"Wait! Before you leave my real name is Y/N Volsen."

Raine and Darius had shocked expressions on their faces.

"What?"
"Volsen... isn't that-" Raine started
"The real heirs to the throne yes," Darius finished
"What are you talking about?"
"Volsen, the bloodline was considered royalty, back decades ago" Raine explained
"But Something happened to them and Belos was left to prove that wild magic is dangerous" Darius hesitated

"What...." Your voice quavered

With that they hurried out of the cell.

You had a lot of questions to ask Zander once you got home.
