It was a beautiful morning like it has been for the past week. Today was the big day and we all had to get ready.

"Yo Poofy get up. It's time to get ready," I told Poofy as I entered his room.

"Five more minutes mom. I'm in the middle of judging the bikini contest," Poofy mumbled, still half asleep. I shook my head and made my way to Sarah's room. Sarah was already up by the time I knocked on her door.

"You ready to go Sarah?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I'm ready," she answered as she struggled to stand up. I ran over beside her and helped her stand up.

"Are you sure you still want to go on this thing?" I asked.

"I'm positive Philip. I want to be able to see Wesley again," she told me as she walked over to her dresser to get packed. I made my way downstairs to find Gabby making breakfast for everyone.

"Good morning Philip," Gabby said cheerfully.

"Good morning Gabby. What are you cooking?" I asked.

"I've made pancakes, sausage, eggs, toast, waffles, hash browns, and some smoothies for the road," she said.

"That sounds delicious," I said.

"I know and anything we don't finish, I'll pack up and we can take it with us," Gabby answered.

"What does Jimmy have to say about this idea?" I asked. Gabby pulled out a radio from her pocket. She plugged in a pair of headphones and listened for a minute.

"He says that I should have made chicken nuggets," Gabby responded.

"Maybe you should have," I laughed. Just then, Poofy and Sarah made their way down the stairs.

"Is that pancakes I smell?" Sarah asked.

"Yes it is. I hope you're hungry," Gabby told her.

"This looks good and all, but you know what I want," Poofy said.

"I got this," I said as I opened a cupboard and grabbed some coffee creamer and poured it into a sippy cup. Poofy took a sip and shivered.

"Ah, nothing like a bit of coffee to make a morning great," Poofy said.

. . . . . . .

I made my way to the checkout isle with everything I had come to the store to buy. As I waited in line, I picked up a couple of magazines to read while on the road. I also grabbed some candy for later.

"Hello sir how are you today?" asked the cashier.

"Okay today. Just doing a bit of shopping," I said as I placed things on the conveyer belt while the cashier began to scan the items.

"stocking up for the winter?" the cashier asked.

"Just preparing for a trip," I told him.

"Must be some trip," he said.

"It is. I don't know how long I'll be gone for so I just want to be ready," I explained.

"That'll be a hundred ninety eight dollars," the cashier said as he rang up the price.

"Here you go," I said, handing the cashier my credit card. After he bagged my groceries, I headed to the van so that I could return to the house.

. . . . . . .

"Do you really have to go?" Olivia asked Enoch.

"I have to. My friends need me," Enoch told his lover.

"We need you to," Olivia said, holding up Zoey.

"I'll check in with you every day. I'll try to visit once a week if I can. Just remember that I love you," Enoch said to Olivia.

"I love you too," she said back. They kissed and Enoch made his way over to us.

"That was the grossest thing since I learned that babies grow in cabbage patches," Poofy exclaimed.

"Poofy, babies don't grow in cabbage patches," Caleb told him.

"Really? That's a relief. I'm so glad that babies aren't born in a disgusting way," Poofy said, relieved.

"Should we tell him the truth?" I asked Caleb and Enoch. They shook their heads no and I decided to keep my mouth shut.

"You boys ready?" Gabby asked us. We all turned to look at her. She had really changed since a week ago. She had been very cheerful since Caleb made Jimmy into a tiny radio that she could communicate with.

"I'm ready to go," Sarah said, coming out of the house.

"Alright everyone, let's get going," Enoch said as he loaded into the van. I almost got into the van before remembering something I had forgotten something.

"You guys wait right here while I go get something," I told the others. I rushed back into the house and went into my room. It was painful to remember all the memories Wesley and I had in this house. Thankfully, everything would soon change. I opened my closet and grabbed the photo album Wesley had gotten me for my birthday. The second I touched it, I suddenly looked around to see I was in a different place.

"Philip?" I heard a voice say. I turned around to see Wesley standing next to me. I tried to say something, but my mouth wouldn't open. Another voice caught me off guard.

"What do you want?" a New York sounding person asked Wesley.

"I need to find the nearest portal to Highlot please," Wesley said.

"Just go straight and in about a hundred miles you'll see a portal transport center. There should be a portal that'll take you to Highlot," the guy explained to Wesley.

"Thanks," Wesley said. At that moment, I woke up to find myself on the floor of my bedroom. Not wanting to waste time, I raced back outside to the van and hopped into the back.

"Guys, I know where we can find Wesley," I said.

"Where?" asked Caleb.

"He'll soon be at Highlot," I told them.

"How do you know that?" Enoch asked.

"I had this weird vision," I explained.

"Alright then, Highlot it is," Caleb said as he began to enter the coordinance.

"I don't feel so good," Sarah said.

"Heh, this reminds me of the time I puked rainbow all over Philip. Doyou remember that?" Poofy asked me. In response, I chucked Poofy into thecorner of the van. It felt good to be with my family.
