Today was the day for the play auditions. Mr. Yoo had handed out the scripts two weeks ago giving me a chance to read it thoroughly before thinking whether or not I should audition. The auditions for the main characters had already gone by a few days ago and Jackson had been chosen as the lead whereas Shuhua would be playing his love interest.

The lead female actress had been divided between Shuhua and another fourth year girl named Nayeon but eventually the teacher thought it would be more authentic with two Chinese speakers. Shuhua had always been so quiet that Mr. Yoo casting her had shocked me at first.

The play was a typical love story only given the nationality of the two main actors, Mr. Yoo had decided to have it in a more traditional Chinese way. I was actually very happy he had done it seeing how we got to learn a lot more about Chinese culture and it did make the story a lot more interesting.

I was auditioning to play Shuhua's best friend as well as secret crush. It wasn't a main part but it was essential for her character arc.

"Hey, who are you auditioning for?" Jinyoung asked and sat down next to me.

"Jaehyuck, the best friend" I answer and show him my script. "How about you?"

"I'm up for the part of Daesang, the very nice boy that she should obviously choose but isn't as problematic as the main character" I couldn't help but chuckle when I heard his answer, Jinyoung always had the best sarcastic responses.

"Let's hope we both nail it"

"I'm sure we will. Do you know if anyone else is up for you part?" He asked me.

"I heard Yugeom and Jaehyun were interested so no need to say the competition is rough. How about you?"

"Daniel told me he wanted to give it a shot. He's never acted before, but the guy is so pretty that he'd make a good Daesang"

"Please, hyung. You're just as pretty and are very talented" I give him a thumbs up and my famous box smile. I think I got him to cheer up when he broke into a smile and gently patted my head.

We stayed there running lines for another fifteen minutes until he got called in for his audition. Doyoung had come in as well, he told me he auditioned for the role of Shuhua's brother seeing how it was a small part and he didn't want to be more involved.

I must've seen more than twenty people come in for various parts until a particular black haired boy caught my eye. Jungkook walked straight into the room. I waited for about ten minutes until I saw he come back out. He was patting his face with a towel and didn't look around. He left just as fast as he had arrived. Why was he here? Did he audition for a role?

Eventually, my name got called and I walked in the room.

"So? How did it go?" Namjoon wrapped his arm around my shoulders and walked close to me.

"Do we go for a celebratory drink or a sad drink?" Yoongi added from me right.

"Let's just say, I nailed it" I felt myself being shaken left and right by my friends until I felt dizzy.

On the way to the café, I couldn't stop smiling. Mr. Yoo told me I was perfect for the part and had given it to me. I felt kind of bad for my friend Jaehyun who hadn't gotten it but I heard Mr. Yoo had given him the lead role instead.

We entered the café and looked around to see where we could go sit down. A group of three caught my eye. Jimin, Jungkook and Hoseok were sitting at a rather large booth, chatting and laughing.
