Circus Magic

Act 1

I have lived with my new family for many years now and long ago and magic recognized the bond so as I grew I became a look alike of my older brother. My hair is still black but it became long, straight and silky. My skin is pale with freckles. My eyes are mostly icey blue with a emerald green center. I have more baby fat and am much taller reaching almost 5 feet.

I have work for the circus for as long as I have been here. I have traveled all around the world and learned about many different cultures.

Yumi has taught me many different languages and a lot about magic. She told me that I don't even have to go to magic school because I learned all I would learn from her. I already took my owls and newts at the ministry due to Yumi's request and passed them all with O's. They were amazed that I could do all the magic wand less and word less.

Big bro and dad have taught me many things as well like math, business, science, history, reading and writing.

My first costume was a snake print suit and makeup to have it look like I have scales. After a while of that Yumi suggested that I get dragon scale clothing as my costume instead because it has added protection along with looking more realistic. I also use magic to make it look and feel like I have real scales.

I got some new snakes as well. A magical boa named Emily was the first added she used to work for a circus too. Then I got a regular python named Thadeus and last I found my familiar a baby basilisk named Perry.

Tomorrow is my 11th birthday. After our last show for the night we went out to dinner. Right now we are in China so we go to a dumpling restaurant.

" Ba shi baozi qing." ( 8 dumplings please).

"Zhunbao." ( Sure)

"Shi shi." ( Thanks)

After the waiter leaves we start to talk.

"So what do you want to do for your birthday tomorrow? Remember we have a flight to England tomorrow but once we land we can do pretty much anything in England."

I think for a while before deciding on going to a restaurant for fish and chips then going out for ice cream.

After eating dinner we head back to our circus and go to our tents for bed.

When the morning dawns I see an owl sitting on the edge of my cot. It is holding a letter. Yumi slithers over to look at it.

"It is a letter from Hogwarts one of the wizarding schools I told you about."

I nod as a response to her before opening the letter. The letter reads...

Mr. Harry James Potter you have been invited to come and attend Hogwarts. Please send a response to this letter so we can get you your supplies list.

I tisk at the blatant use of my old name. I start to write my reply as the owl seems to be waiting. I reply...

Dear Dumbledore,
I have received your letter. I will not be attending Hogwarts as I have no reason to. I have passed all of my newts so schooling is no longer needed. Also please if you must send me another letter refer to me as my proper name.

After finishing my letter I tie it to the leg of the owl and it flies off.
