Act 13

Harlow Pov

I spent every day until they were taken back sleeping in the enclosure with the dragons. My snakes like how warm it is and I like the dragons company. I opened the egg once and it let out a horrible shriek so I haven't opened it again.

I have been informed that I am required to go to a winter ball and bring a date. It cannot be another champion so it is limited to the other people I know. My god brothers Neville or Draco, my god parents but they are all professors or one of the three friends I have made Luna, Fred or George.

I decide to take Luna as I don't want to take just one of the twins and I am only allowed one date. I get along great with Luna which makes the rest of the school avoid her. They used to bully her but I think they are afraid of my snakes and my magic abilities so now they just avoid her.

We decided to wear matching blue and silver shimmering outfits. I have a three piece suit, blue with a silver vest and she has a floor length, puff sleeved dress with matching silver heels. I put on some silver eyeliner and placed my hair in a braid before heading into the school. I meet Luna at the entrance of the ravenclaw common room and she lets me in. I help her with her makeup and hair before we head to the room beside the great hall where the other champions are waiting. Luna has her hair up in a braid crown with silver tinsel weaved in and light shimmery makeup.

"You both look wonderful." Fleur states in an almost jealous tone. He french accent comes through very thick. Both Victor and Cedric nod while only looking at me. They have the same look in their eyes that they have every time they look at me. I wonder what it means.

I don't have much time to think on it before we are told to line up in the order of the first task. I am in the back of the line with Luna as we start to file on to the dance floor. We head out and start the twirly dance that we were taught to do.

After the first song of just the champions and their dates the other students join in. I dance through a few more songs with Luna before we decide to go and get some refreshments. While drinking her pumpkin juice Luna's eyes go foggy. I know it is because she is a seer and is having a vision so I wait. She smiles before turning to me back into her usual self. "You should dance with the twins, Victor, Cedric and Severus. I just know they will thank you."

I shrug and wonder what she saw. "Alright."  I look around and see that everyone but Severus is already dancing so I walk over to him. "Would you care to dance?" I say holding out my hand. He takes it and I lead him to the floor. I feel warm and fuzzy as I lead him to the floor.

We take turns leading and dance through five songs before we decide to take a break. I get a drink of water and Cedric approaches me. "May I offer you this dance?" I finish my drink before I take his hand and head off to the floor again. I let him lead the whole time as I have already led so much.

Five dances later and I am dancing with Fred. He leads me for five dances and then passes me off to his twin who I lead in the dance for five songs.

Lastly I get pulled off onto the dance floor by Victor he leads the whole time and after I dance for five songs with him I go grab some food and sit with Luna. "You're right, they did seem to enjoy dancing with me and making them so happy made me feel warm and fuzzy inside."

"Yes, just because you saw them happy." She whispers with a small smile on her face. I just shrug it off because clearly it is not time for me to know yet.
