Harlow pov
After dinner I set up my tent outside near the forest. Tomorrow is the first task so I decide to take a short walk as a way to destress. I walk along the edge of the forest when I hear a noise.
I head towards it to find four dragons. They must have something to do with the task. I walk up and introduce myself to them.
"Greetings beautiful dragons, I am Harlow Stewart." I bow slightly.
"A young speaker how lovely."
"What can we do for you young Harlow?"
"I was wondering if you knew why you are here?"
"The people said something about an egg and a challenge."
"I think they said that the egg would be golden."
"Thank you ladies, you have been a big help. Is there anything I can do for you?"
They seem to think about it for a while before the largest responds. "Could you stay here and talk with us? It is not every day you meet someone who can talk to dragons."
"Of course I would love to." I open the cage and am hit by a wave of hot air. I close the door behind me before laying down on the side of one of the nests.
I spent the whole night talking to them and ended up falling asleep in the nest that I was sitting in. I got woken up by one of the dragons gently nuzzling my arms and looked at the time realizing that it is time for breakfast. I say goodbye to all of them before heading to the great hall.
I head in and sit next to Neville this time. I eat and feed some food to my snakes. I look around and notice that several people are looking at me. I wonder why, perhaps it is because I simply showed up last night with no one else. Or maybe it is because I am not part of a school. I shrug and finish eating as we have to go do the task soon.
After breakfast we head outside and to a place that looks like an arena. They lead all of the competitors to a tent beside the arena. I can hear all the spectators waiting for it to start. A ministry official comes in with a small pouch. He tells us to each reach in.
I decide to go first and pull out a tiny dragon with a number four around its neck. Yumi tells me that it is a Hungarian horntail. The others pull their dragons and the order for us going up is set.
