Act 16

Harlow pov

It is finally the day of the final task. We eat breakfast and make our way out to where the quidditch field used to be. It seems that it was replaced by a large hedge maze. We are lined up in front of the maze as they explain the rules and what to expect. They tell us that in the middle of the maze is a cup, whoever grabs it wins. They also said that there are many different trials in the maze to keep us from reaching there.

They tell me to get ready as I got the most points in the other tasks. I decide to give my snakes to Severus again as I don't know what to expect. I hand him most of the snakes and go to hand over Perry and Yumi but they keep moving away from my hands. "Come on I need you to get off it might not be safe for you in there."

"I don't care, I am going with you." Yumi says and Perry nods in agreement.

"Why are you teaming up on me I just want to keep you safe."

"And we want to keep you safe." Perry says very quietly. My eyes widen slightly as this is the first time Perry has ever spoken.

"Fine, you can tag along but stay in my clothes." I am in a dragon hide outfit that I bought because Yumi wants me to start dueling in my spare time. They nod and slither back into my shirt. When they settle and wrap around me I walk up to the entrance of the maze.

When the whistle blows I run in. I run quite far into the maze before I run into any difficulty. My first problem is that the hedges around me are trying to grab me. I use a cutting curse to remove the ones that have grabed me and I keep going.

I only ran into a few problems before I reached the cup. I run towards it and see that Cedric is right next to me. "You take it." I offer him, I don't need the fame or the money.

"No, you should take it."

We simply stare at each other for a while before realizing that there is no need for this. "Fine let's take it together." He nods and grabs my hand making the warm fuzzy feeling return. We reach forward with our other hands and grab it at the same time. I feel us being taken away and we reappear in a room. It is rather nice and seems to be made with dark wood, greens and silvers.

I look around and see that there is a desk in the middle of the room with two seats on one side and one on the other. No one is sitting at the desk but I feel like we should sit down so I drag Cedric over to the chairs and we sit down.
