Act 14

Harlow Pov

It is a few weeks after the ball and the second challenge is today. Through trial and error we finally figured out what the hint was. Cedric dropped his egg in water and got a message that basically said that they are going to take something of importance to us and place it under the great lake. Then we will have an hour to retrieve it.

I can change into any animal so I figure that is what I will do. After waking up in my tent I head to breakfast where I notice people are missing. That must be what they took. Luna is missing as well as cho and Hermione. They clearly just took most of our dates to the ball but Fleur's date is still here so I don't know who they took for her.

After breakfast we are all led out. When we arrive at the lake they explain what we already knew. We have an hour to retrieve the person they put down there for each of us. I walk over to Severus and hand him my snakes so they don't get cold or too wet. He takes them and I head back to the edge of the lake.

When the sound goes off and we are allowed to go in I quickly turn into an octopus and jump in. I swiftly swim to the bottom and see all of the hostages. I grab Luna and return to the surface. I place her on the dock and see Fleur crying about how she cannot go into the water for her sister, so I dive back down and get her.

It is a little harder than the first time as they don't want me to take more than one person but I return with her anyways. I place her on the pier, climb up and change back to my human form. I retrieved both in less time than allotted and before the others so I sit on the dock and wait for them to return with their rescues.

Victor comes back up first followed closely by Cedric. We all get up before the hour is up so the order of points from this round is me with the most, Victor with the second, Cedric with the third and Fleur with no points from this round as she couldn't complete the task.

As soon as the task was over I dried off, collected my snakes and went to the great hall as it was already almost time for lunch. I sat next to Luna for the meal and we talked about all sorts of things and different types of creatures that only we could see.
