"Hey, Hermana can I have some of that water?" Bruno asked looking at his slightly older triplet sister who had a water bottle full of a clear liquid in her hand that she just got out of the fridge.

On the water bottle was a label that read, in clear bold print, Familia's tears.

Pepa turned to her brother just as Mirabel and Abuela came into the room, apparently having a disagreement over something to do with Mirabel's habit of going into town and singing with the children. Pepa made a mental note to ask her daughter later to figure out the specifics and see if her mama was slipping back into old habits.

"Oh, this isn't water," Pepa said as she held the bottle loosely in her hand while Mirabel glance over and read the bottle label.

"Wait..." Julieta stopped from where she had been cooking some arepa's for the town and shot her sister a suspicious look.

"If that's not water then what is it?" Julieta asked giving her sister a hard look and Pepa grinned slightly.

"It's vod-" Pepa was cut off as Mirabel walked over, grabbed the bottle out of her hand, and then tipped it back and chugged it while staring Abuela in the eyes.

"Mirabel!" Julieta shouted as everyone stared at the almost sixteen-year-old who had just chugged sixteen ounces of vodka in one go.

"Huh. Not as strong as I thought." Mirabel said as she finished off the bottle and set it down.

"You just drank some of Pepa's vodka as if it were water," Bruno said sounding almost awed as he stared at his Sobrina who raised an eyebrow at them.

"Amazing how likely the villagers will give you liquor at a young age when you're the defective Madrigal. You need stronger liquor, Tia." Mirabel said causing Abuela and Bruno to wince at those words while Pepa began to grin widely, the sun shining brightly over her head now as she threw an arm around Mirabel's shoulders.

"Mirabel. You are my new favorite in this whole family. Tell me have you been in a bar fight yet?" Pepa asked and she was already leading Mirabel away with a grin on her face.

"Pepa no!" Julieta called after her sister, already moving to remove her apron and chase her sister.

"Let Ol' Tia Pepa show you the best way to break a bottle." Pepa was saying as she moved to lead her Sobrina from the house and probably to the town and the tavern within.

"PEPA NO!
